Re: Was it necessary to repeal DADT?
FTR....
I do not love a sinner. I don't love any sinner. If you are a sinner, I do not love you. I don't love any kind of a sinner.
To love a sinner is to love both the good and the evil in the sinner which is the whole of the sinner himself. I will love the good and hate the evil in him since both the good and evil is integral to his life.
I love my Lord wholly. Because I love Him beyond measure, I will reach for the sinner for whom Christ died.

aaah,
Probably love Paul even less since he is known to have been the chiefest of sinners.
He must have been a bad dude...especially since he said that "what I would not do, that I do." Couldn't help himself, I don't suppose.

Since I strongly believe that it's not God's plan for two people of the same gender to be 'joined together' in that way, I could not in good conscience attend.
That's why 'homosexuality' gets treated differently in this particular instance.
(DA, I'll try to respond to you tomorrow when I have more time, I need to get ready for church right now.)

I can't try to twist your arm, but would you sit with a friend while he/she smokes a joint...drinks to the point of drunkenness....executes a business motivated by greed...if you were with a friend when he/she used the Lord's name in vain, would you get up and leave the table?

Of course you don't. You agree with his position.
I expounded already and made the point extremely clear. You can answer that if you like. The first 17 or so verses in Ephesians 5 are talking about our own personal actions, nothing more.

When sin is present it should be reproved. If my kids steal something, I don't buy them a new bike, and tell them I don't agree with their stealing. Thats not sending a massage of love.

Fellowshipping with deeds is committing them! Good heavens!!!

Oh really? Have you talked to him? I have.
And then your next point.....good heavens, I'm tired of arguing with you and tired of the religious beatdown you're giving me.

Re: Was it necessary to repeal DADT?
There is such a thing as being made partakers of another man's sins without committing any of them yourself.

Good heavens to Betsy. Either "Apprehended" is a spoof, his/her elevator doesn't go to the top floor, or he/she is one angry person. Holy smoke.
Now I'm laughing because this may just be the all-time #1 most ridiculous post in the history of AFF. No, I correct that....in the history of the internet!! Oops....in the history of the world!!
