I think he will. I think there's so much attention on this case, that everything in the trial will have to be handled perfectly or it will all be thrown out the window. Not only does national attention help get justice for Trayvon, it also will help insure that Zimmerman isn't convicted with inadequate evidence.

Very sorry for Treyvon and his family.

On this point we can all agree.

I'm not so sure everyone that is calling for justice really wants justice. Seems a lot want vengeance and or retribution.

Re: Anger + Sadness = RAGE
So zimwit lied about his funds and assets when he stood in front of the judge for his bond hearing.
Seems like this guy is just a regular ol' honest abe!
I am begining to believe the Martin family lawyer in their summation of zim's last apology as insincere, "self-serving."
I really, really hope the Prosecution has a strong enough case to get the conviction. So many Floridians do not want to see a repeat of the Casey Anthony trial.
If you think that sparked public outrage, imagine of the State appears incompetent again and this perjurer walks.
Yes, zitman is a perjurer.
I wonder will there be perjury charges?

So you want a conviction without knowing all the evidence?

I wanted him arrested, and that is what I was most disturbed about. But seriously, after the stunt he just pulled, any credibility he had has taken a serious blow.
What I want is for the State's charges to NOT be smoke in mirror. I want them to put forth a good case. I want justice to prevail.
One thing Canam and I agreed on is that the "Special Prosecutor" did not appear sincere either when she gave her press conference.

What if justice is an acquittal?

What are you talking about, the 200K from his new website? That won't begin to pay for his defense and his personal safety in the meantime and the rest of his life, thanks to Sharpton & Jackson for getting him convicted by the media. The Martins have suffered a great loss, but that isn't supposed to make Zimmerman lose his right to a fair trial. Now all the political pressure to get him convicted by a jury, what if the man is not guilty of murder, how would you like to be in his shoes? What if he did not confront Martin? What if Martin made a decision to jump him and beat the tar out of him? In Florida and in Texas that is a dangerous thing to do, too many folks packing. Maybe he made an immature 17 year old decision, in the context of a neighborhood being terrorised by young black hoodlums and mean pitbulls. Now he has to defend himself before the world, not just his peers, as the law provides.

Then so be it.
Getting back to what I said earlier, I hope the State really has the case to prove 2nd Degree Murder-- it's a tall order based solely on what has been released to the public this far.
Still, that Prosecutor appeared so smug during her press conference-- like it was all about her and not about the case, or the Martin family.
Casey Anthony's parents' house is not too far from where I live. Here in Orlando, the biggest criticism of that case was how ill prepared and ill-equiped the Prosecution appeared throughout the deliberations on the Casey Anthony trial.
My point is that NO ONE here wants to see that happen again.
