Jesus wasn't too happy with those that just loved those that them back, a truer test of Christian love is how you get along "fellowship" with those that are not just like you. Especially those of the household of faith.

LOL. Hey, I'm much happier and a better witness of the love Jesus than when I was a UC!! Plus I'm enjoying life much more, Jesus is still right with me, talk to Him every day. Not fearful of HIM burning me forever for all kinds of ridiculous things. Matter fact HE said in Malachi that He never even thought of such a thing.

I for one am not going to sit and listen to man
that has filled his mind with movies and the god of sports. If that is the kind of man you want reaching to you then so be it, but not me.

Plus my world is not small. Have a lot of fellowship. And I have two grow children, both living for God.

Man, talk about broad brush judgment on bearded brethren. Very shallow. Lotta bearded men couldn't give a rip less about sports, movies , jewelry, and whatever else u try to judge them on(all personal convictions anyway).I have had a beard for 5 or 6 years straight, haven't had tv in atleast 15-18 years, been to maybe 3 pro sports games the last 5-10 years, don't even wear a watch let alone a bracelet, have a gold band tho, don't watch anything that's not g rated unless its a Christian film Passion of Christ, or Son of God,etc, homeschool my children bible based curriculum, have all my kids actively in bible quizzing every yr(3rd in nationals last yr, and u don't wanna claim me(fellowship)as a brother cause I have a beard. And according to u, me and most of the bearded men are "of the world". Think again brother.

Btw, I don't disown-disfellowship any of my bros, or think any differently of them that do choose those things listed(&other stuff), beards or not...we are all in a process, and we shouldn't be so narrow minded as to disallow(disfellowship)personal Spirit led convictions in our walks w God on all this stuff, or think more highly of ourselves than others that don't share the same personal convictions, not to mention forbid them from church ministry.

When we preach to people are we not asking them to change?
So you as a pastor are asking people to do something you are not willing to do?
So you are going to go into the pulpit and ask people to change, but you will not change?

I was not a Christian and yet I changed.

My mother has been Catholic for 70 years and she told me that nothing I say will change her beliefs, she has believe that way and she will continue until she dies. She refuses to hear the truth.

Isn't the sin of stubbornness the same as iniquity?
