I don't care to articulate my exact suspicions, but not only to I doubt this Ph.D even after finding some no-name, cracker jack box school, I doubt it's theological concentration. Guys like this that have a resume to fill pages (he's done this himself on his website), tend to over-state themselves and misrepresent.

What you say is true. The idea of studying, when Paul used the word, had a meaning to Paul as well that was quite common in Judaism.

"Ruin" in our eyes. Perhaps in God's eyes it was just the thing that was needed for the man who would go on to pen about two thirds of the NT.
