There is NO ONE with more of a burden for the lost than Brother Coepland.
What was disrespectful about her post that you quoted? She simply stated the man had the most conservative UPC church in GA. I thought that would be something you would be jumping up and down in glee about.

The Bakers aren't going anywhere. My sister goes to that church. The Pontiac church is the closest thing to POA that is above the Mason Dixon line.

He would preach for us alot and my Bishop would preach for him often as well. I agree with you that if people in MI leave it ain't Bro Baker!

I agree! Bro Baker is very progressive. He is a wise man and wants to win the lost no matter what. I have know him for 20+ yrs and if I lived in MI I would go to church there. He has a neat thing there with the mixture of ALJC and UPC members joined together.

She just said Copeland, not Brother Copeland. Just calling a preacher by their last name is disrespectful.

Who will lead these rebellious renegades??????????? Maybe someone with an 8th Grade Education?????????

Here are just a few of the 21 rules and regulations, standards of HOLINESS that the GEORGIA DISTRICT UPCI gave us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NO Mickey Mouse Watches or T-Shirts.

NO "A" on ball cap. The prohibition of ball caps was lifted but with the stipulation that there be NO "A" on any ball cap. You can have a "B" or "C" but NOT AN "A"!

NO splits of any kind in any dresses or skirts. WE ALL KNOW WHAT THOSE UNGODLY SPLITS MEAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There will be a "Split skirt committee" that will judge if anyone has dared to wear a split skirt and if so - they will have material to sow in back of the split!!!!!!!!! FOLKS - I AM NOT JOKING HERE!

The blond haired blue eye white boys with blond peach fuzz can stay but the black haired - black peach fuzz boys have to shave or leave. They will set up a mustache committee to make sure if the peach fuzz is "dark enough" they will have to shave or leave!

NO - Colored Lip Dew. I did ask if they could PLEASE have cherry or grape chap-stick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now don't that sound like a district of fine, upright, sensible, progressive, soul winning men that intend to win the world for JESUS CHRIST???????????

And people wonder why the UPC is losing good men???????????
The only one I have ever heard of (besides the shaving one) is the no split one. When a certain man was DS the kids at camp had to pin down their splits, even if it was just an inch high.

Once you get away from this goofiness and look back at it you realize how sad it really is that these good folks are caught up in chasing imaginary bogeymen in the most innocent of things.

Some actualy worship their own supposed "piety".

Hey, even without leaving we see the goofiness of it and how sad it really is, we don't have to leave for that.

This sort of thing makes my head hurt. Last statement is a nail slammer.
Good way to put it.

Oh good grief! Get over it and get a life. Many times people use shortcuts and cut corners in posting online. I seriously doubt she meant any disrespect by leaving out a title before his last name.

Are you going to insist we put "brother" or "pastor" in front of "Wholehearted" when we address you?
