in context he lived for 950 years. in the life of ONE preacher, he preached a message for 12% of HIS life time.

Judgement of America has been preached since before the ink dried on the constitution.

beyond that, the end of the world has been preached from Peter and Paul right thru until today.

That doesnt mean it isnt coming. but it does mean I dont take a particular person serious when he has "heard from God" that the end is near.

eventually America is going to fall. History tells us that all nations that rise to power and greatness eventually fall.

so what every guy is prolcaiming the judgement of God at the moment America falls gets to be right. even if he isnt.

Therefore, I reject them all, while at the same time saying "the day cometh"
I have a lived a long time and been in the church a long time, but it is only recently that "I" have heard prophecies given against America.

What are your thoughts on Hurricane Katrina? It devastated the Mississippi Gulf Coast. It destroyed Casino's down there, needless to say that was some of the first things they started erecting. Did people who frequent those places get the message that God was sending them?

Esther, Ive heard it my whole life. I dont know where youve been living?

I grew up in fear of the rapture and a soviet invasion. Any time I couldnt find my mom i had panic attacks for fear Gawd had come back and I got left!

I even had contengency plans that included getting caught and having my head chopped off so I could go to heaven.

Gods judgement has always been a big player.

It may be part of the "victim" mentality that seems to have taken hold of America.

People only see the bad anymore. They forget that despite it's flaws (and there are many) it is still the greatest nation on earth and the center of freedom.

We take so much for granted here.

I have to agree with you there. Of course, I am only 40, so I haven't been around all that long, but it seems the "coming judgement on America" theme is relatively new.

I really think there is a sense of forboding right now. I dont think people see America winning in Iraq and that leads to people thinking that the terrorists can get here and blow us up. that leads to a natural feeling that our days are numbered.

who knows how it will all turn out.

Brother, I was a kid in the 70s and not really paying all that much attention to what was going on in church. In 1988 I was 21, living in CA, and not in church at all.

Don't you think if God wanted to bring judgement on N.O. , He would have targeted the French Quarter a little harder............
