Im not a big fan of In and out...I never understood the fascination. Oh well....and BTW it's anything but In and Out now...takes a long time haha.

We have a mexican place here that only serves chicken and tri-tip with beans salsa and tortilla, but it's the BEST chicken and tri-tip ever and it's cheap.

Sals is great too. I love their Sals specials and their Fajitas are good...not like those other places that taste like they just bought a seasoning packet at the local grocery store.

Yolandas is good too. Their flautas are awesome and you will be filled :-)

Oh..another thing to do for some of you folks is just to stop in at a grocery store and get fruit

Oh and if you come at the right time of the year you might want to do the Strawberry Festival in Oxnard. We get folks from all over the place...sort of a pain since it's my main route to church and the road is all blocked off.

Visit the Lobster Trap for great sea food at Channel Islands harbor. Go over to the jetty and walk out a ways. Walk along Silver Strand beach or Oxnard shores....go to Hueneme beach and get some fresh seafood and eat it on the beach.

Then go to Ventura harbor and get some really good and fresh seafood at Andreas. I think they will even take what ever kind of fish you want and make battered fish for you. Though to me battering a 17$ halibut and deep frying it is a waste.
Jump on the island packers boat and tour Santa Cruz and Anacapa islands

Is that an expensive place? Years ago we went to some place there and there were three different ones with each getting more expensive...this was over 10 years ago and a steak dinner cost over $20

No. We were usually there in the spring. Usually the Feb thru April timeframe although later, in the early 2000's, we were there at other times of the year also.

If you go in May visit the strawberry festival....just about a half an hour from the Reagan library
