I love it! Queen Elizabeth cracked me up though; she had a last name, but her name was actually Queen Elizabeth something-or-other!

Same thing with the church, if Peyton Manning or Tiger Woods goes to our church we must be the best church in town, regardless if we have 10 or 110,000 people and revival or not.

Every preacher under the sound of my pen would covet the opportunity to tell his friends that several of the Dallas Cowboys attends his church and one even has the Holy Ghost.
Boy ya know what? If I had been able to keep my other name, you guys would have responded to this, now I am persona non gratia, or maybe it just wasn't that good a point.

I can't wait until I can give 5000.00 in the offering.
I once heard it said, it is not how much you give but what you have left after giving.

It is obvious you are reaching out to the inner city.

Sometimes I have to stifle an audible laugh at nametags of young Black Americans in fast food places, stores, etc.

The effort to make a distinction from the tradtional "white man's names" has reulted in some humdingers.

Well, Queen was black; the others were all white. When we were reading through the cards, at first we thought it was a joke, but they were all real people.
