I would enjoy meeting you and your family, but it's the wrong direction. As was stated...Go west young man!
Now if anyone is driving WEST....let me know.

I have very much enjoyed meeting forum friends.

LOL!!! Either House or Grey's Anatomy (medical dramas on TV) had a good episode involving two teenage Amish girls who had left for the big city. One was dying of cancer and the shunning thing was part of the story.
The girl dying of cancer wanted to go home to be baptized and to die at home with her family but she didn't want to break her promise to her best friend that had left with her to always stand by each other.
The friend eventually made her break the promise and go home with her parents to die. The dying girl's parents shunned the friend in the hospital room but ended up speaking to her at the end.

It was definately Grey's Anatomy. Some of that program is already out on DVD. Check your local Video Connection. Ours had it for rent. I don't know if that particular episode was on it, but you could check.

I will be starting my own "Taking a trip" thread, as I'm planning on leaving for Virginia on July 5th, taking a detour through Detroit first. I'll be coming back 'the south way', meeting Foreverblessed and a couple others from here.

You need to find some reason to roam through Texas... specifically Austin...
Ironic... I have a business card here on my desk from a Lynn Barstow Emmis Austin Radio.
