The GOP Primary process demands this and then, when GOP voters drift and are led further and further away to the right, so right that they are wrong on just about every level (hyperbole), very few in the GOP do any thing to try to bring the people they have led back from "la la land".

I didn't say it was the ONLY thing, but there were a large number of people whose only reason to vote for obama was because he is black. I know many personally who voted for obama's skin color. They aren't people who would vote for another Democrat. These are black Apostolics and Pentecostals who told me outright that they needed to support their own. It was important, they said, regardless of ideology or political party, to vote for the first black POTUS.

I remember how disgusted I was at the number of people interviewed on election day in 2008, who said they were voting to "make history." It was ridiculous.

Susan Rice needs to be put under oath. This is the woman who claimed Benghazi was the fault of a YouTube video when she knew it wasn't. I don't know that she would be convicted of any crime, though. Unless they could find something which proves the unmasking was for political reasons.

Same here.
Many people I know of all races voted for him because of this.
Most of those had buyers remorse and either did not vote in 2012 or voted for another candidate.
I have a friend whose FIL was in a coma and dying at home. They requested an absentee ballot and voted for BHO for him.
Because "they knew that is how he would have voted".

Actually, the left has moved further and further left, to where they aren't even on the map anymore but are just 'somewhere over there, waaaay out there'. As the center gets shifted to the left (because their cronies in the Republican wing of the national Uniparty system go along with the nonsense) the average American looks more and more 'right wing', even though most of us haven't budged an inch in about 30-40 years.

Well, actually, the average American HAS budged a bit, to the left.

The Founding Fathers and their generation would have been stuffed away in Gitmo a long time ago by both Dems and Republicans.

All this hysteria from the left is actually beginning to drive a lot of people into claiming the very thing the leftist rhetoric denounces. I am seeing more and more people who have grown tired of being labelled racist, fascist, nazi, right wing extremist, mysogynist, etc, and have actually begun to embrace those labels. They have the attitude that "Oh, you can't stop lying about me and calling me these things? Fine then, I'll become the very thing you hate."

We're actually beginning to parallel Weimar Germany right now in many respects.

(Most folks have no idea what that would look like because they are functionally clueless about real history. They just picture massive hyperinflation, and do not have a clue about what was actually going on in Germany in those days. Ah well, history doesn't repeat, but it sure does rhyme.)

Those are just a couple quotes from off the top of my head. Obama talking like he's a dictator, and the rest of us serve at his pleasure. And don't even get me started on the Roman Coliseum style pillars at the DNC.
