If this definition is valid, and I think it is, then follow:

To say "Praise the Lord" as we greet someone is an act of communication. We are communicating our praise to God that we have been given a chance to see and meet someone.

To say "Praise the Lord" as we greet someone allows us to intentionally make our presence known to someone, to show attention to, and this part is KEY, to suggest a type of relationship or social status between us as we come into contact with each other.

The type of relationship suggested by such a greeting indicates that we are both God-fearing, God-loving, Bible-believing Christians. The social status indicated by such a greeting is that we are both members in the Body of Messiah, trusting in the same Lord, in the same faith, of the same baptism, and that the same one God and Father of all, who is above us, through us, and in us both, is the God and Father that we mutually serve and praise when we get another chance to get together with brethren.

How in the world is any of the above an issue?
Good stuff

I don't like to use labels. But, to answer the question, yes. Doctrinally I resemble something like a baptist with Calvinistic leanings. I am also glossolalic on occasion.

Going to plant a few churches soon. Thinking somewhere in Florida.. and maybe Utah. I'd definitely prefer Utah's weather over that of Florida.

Excellent poste, why this remains an issue to some heres is unimagionable.

My thought would be that they just want something to fight about.

Bro, then who are you to judge Pentecost if you created your own hybrid Christianity?

No it wasn't stupid, what is stupid is that you have built some Frankenstein Hybrid Christianity. Yet want to pontificate how the Pentecostals are some sort of freaks from The Island of Doctor Asuza Street?

Save it, the next time you would like to beat the tin drum.

Who is making an issue? And what is the issue?

Oh wait, there are some here who seem to think that saying Praise the Lord as a greeting is somehow bad or negative. OR useless. Of course, that would not be -me-, as I am simply wondering why we as Christians do not greet one another with the Biblical greetings, like 'grace and peace to you', etc.

Do you feel better? You pretty much called me a Jim Jones. You are very quick to insult people that are in disagreement with you.
I spent some time in and around Pentecostal churches. My opinions and observations though different than yours do not make them any less valid.
