Re: Black Robe Regiment & Consequences Gay Marriag
While adultery is a sinful act, and equally worthy of hell, it is still within God's *natural* order; that is, one man and one woman. Homosexuality defies God's *natural* order, that is why it is an abomination and not just sin.

Bestiality isn't called an abomination?
It is called a confusion or mixed up.
Proverbs 28:9 states that anyone, and it does mean "anyone" turning their ear away from hearing the law is an abomination.
So that would cover sins like adultery, bestiality, homosexuality, plus all else judged as sin by the law.
It is just a cultural thing that adultery gets a pass. David sees Bathsheba, has relations with her, she gets pregnant, her husband comes home, King tells husband to go home to be with his wife, husband refuses, king then sends husband back out to battle, makes plan to inadvertently have husband murdered. Adulteress wife's baby dies, king is free. Yet, his son Absalom would take the kingdom away from the king as a punishment.
David's issue wasn't adultery, but plotting to murder an innocent man Proverbs 6:16-17. David committed an abomination by killing the innocent man. Galatians 5:19-21 lists "some" items that will bar entry into the Kingdom of God, yet it is just a partial list, and adultery made the list as far as Paul was concerned, yet the shedding of innocent blood is absent.
Proverbs 6:16-19, lists 7 abominable acts 1. A Proud Look, 2. A Lying Tongue, 3. Hands That Shed Innocent Blood, 4. A Heart That Devises Wickedness, 5. Feet That Are Swift In Running To Mischief, 6. A False Witness, and 7. He That Sows Discord among the brethren. Yet, homosexuality is absent?
Still devising wickedness covers a huge swath of issues including homosexuality, bestiality, and adultery as well as other sins. As well as Galatians 5:19-21 covers a swath of incorrect behavior, if you really look at it.
Is homosexuality technically the same act as adultery? No, because culturally we view it as a male with a female, and pretty much that is how the Bible sees it, as a man and a woman. Yet, if a man leaves his wife for another man, or visa versa, it isn't considered adultery anymore but homosexuality? Yet, homosexuality isn't the same act as adultery, as bestiality isn't the same act as homosexuality. Still, all were crimes punishable by death. As in the words of the law, the soul that "sinneth" it shall die Ezekiel 18:20.

What are you trying to say?
Are you saying that a person who has committed apostasy can still be saved?
You seem to imply that a homosexual CAN be saved: so are you referring to the homosexual
that "...God also gave them up to uncleanness..."; or to them that "...God gave them
up unto vile affections..."; or to the one(s) that "...God gave them over to a reprobate mind..."?
Or do you believe a man can be a "christian" and still lust after another man in his heart...as
long as he keeps it under control?
"Judge righteous judgment."

Brother, if a man leaves his wife for another woman, he hath committed adultery & will be judged accordingly!
If a man leaves his wife for another man he has committed adultery, but has also committed an act of perversion, a perversion against God's order!
Again, I will state what I have seen & yes it is anecdotal, but it has been my experience!
I have seen men, even ministers, commit adultery with a woman who was not their wife!
I have seen homosexuals do similar things & when viewed in the spirit, their is a spirit of a strong delusion on them that what they are doing is right & okay!
There is a difference!
Again, I am against adultery & believe it has been watered down by society (in a very bad way) so as to become more mainstream & acceptable.
Not in our assembly!

I believe if you were following my posts you would of understood when I quoted 1st Corinthians 6:9-11 that the apostle creates a list of those who will not enter the Kingdom of God, then tells his readers they were once like those in the list. That would include where Paul says "homosexuals" yet, he says they became eligible because they were washed, sanctified, and justified in the name of Jesus Christ 1st Corinthians 6:11. But being turned over to a reprobate mind Romans 1:26-28 is someone who once knew God, rejected God, had not a love for truth 2nd Thessalonians 2:10-11. People who were once clean, swept, and garnished, but had seven more demons worse then the one he had cast out come to live in him again Matthew 12:45, Luke 11:26. These are not sinners who were clueless, who never tasted of the heavenly gift Hebrews 6:4-6. They have blasphemed the Holy Ghost and it is impossible for them to be restored.

Ministers who commit adultery can never preach again.
Brother Ron, adultery and homosexuality are crimes punishable by death in the OT. While they are not the same act, they both are against God's order.
There is a strong delusion on a saint of God who would commit adultery?
Brother, I'm not saying that you condone adultery, but it looks like you are being a tad bit influenced by the world around you. Jesus told the "sinner woman" who was caught in the act of adultery to go sin no more. Not sin less, until the day she saw someone who she wanted more than her husband. The stoning didn't take place because if she was caught in the VERY act they were missing an important ingredient, which was the man! Which leaves you wondering which of the stone holders was he. Brother Ron, Jesus name baptism is for the remission of sins, not so we can come up out of the water then go gather all those sins back again.

I've seen this mentioned in regards to obtaining UPC license. Where is the scripture reference for this?

I agree! Forgiven yes, but they lose that position of trust!

Adultery is punishable by a trip to Hell & eventually the lake of fire.
But believe it or not, the attraction of a man to a woman or vice verse is natural, the attraction to the same sex is not.
Did you read in the Bible where God ever stated that he gave someone up to adultery? You have read in Romans chapter 1 where God gave them up to homosexuality, have you not?

Brother, I agree, Grace is not a license to sin, I think we are on the same page on that issue.
Yes, the world has watered down adultery & I think there is a general slide to gross immorality that we as Apostolics are trying to come to grips to it.
In the midst of all of this wanton sin & wickedness, will there still be a voice, crying out that there is a hell to shun & a Heaven to gain?
I am sure that by the Grace of God you will be there offering that message of hope & reconciliation!

There isn't, but one does not need a license to preach, teach Bible Studies, or be saved now do they?
That clause is there to protect the sheep in the case of moral failure.
I believe it was the wisdom of the elders that put it in there many years ago!
