Either there are a bunch of liars, or the potential jurors I've heard this morning/noon live in some back woods without contact with anyone. Most have said they don't know anything about the case; a few have said they know just a little bit; only a couple have actually talked in detail of what they've heard or read.

I just cannot believe the number of people claiming not to know anything about what happened.

I think a snowball has a better chance of surviving Texas in August than Mr. Zimmerman has of getting a fair trial. I have a feeling this guys fate is already decided from way up the chain of the judiciary. I hope I am wrong, but I think George is going to be the sacrificial lamb sent to slaughter in order to avoid any replays of the eruption of black violence like the LA Riots.

One potential juror (doubtful he was selected though) was pretty honest. When asked if he had an opinion of what happened, he said, "I can't count people on one hand who don't have an opinion about what happened!"

(paraphrase)

I would imagine the defense used one of their challenges to keep him off the jury.

I have heard more people this afternoon talk about what they know of the case. The pros/def attorneys ask what stands out about what they've heard. Typically it's hearing the 911 call from Zimmerman and the 911 call with the screaming in the background. A couple men mentioned they found it odd that there was no initial charges until there were protests. But of course, they have no opinion yet and are open to whatever is presented at trial.

Interestingly, the majority of the people have stated they're skeptical of news, whether it be through newspapers or on television. There's not a lot of trust of media out there.

Ladies and Gents, it appears we have our jury. We don't know who they are yet, but the Judge stopped after the last gentleman was questioned and said the selection was over and she would be "going downstairs" with the pros and def teams to read the admonition to the jury.

False alarm. They were just stopping for the day and the one's who were selected had to be given the admonition. Jury selection still ongoing.

Jury selection still trudging along.

There was an interesting moment yesterday, when a potential juror was brought into the courtroom and before the attorneys were able to question him, the Judge asked if he had ever posted comments to a group on Facebook. The man said he was on Facebook, but couldn't remember if he had or not. The Judge then gave him a document that had some comments printed out from the Facebook group, and asked if that was his post. The guy took a second, then kind of chuckled and said it was his post.

The Judge asked the attorneys to come forward, and then excused the juror.

IIRC, it was something posted to the "Coffee Party Progressive" group sometime around December, I think. I'll have to look when I get home later to see if I can find anything from around that time about TM.

Lady on the stand now...I doubt she'll make the cut.

She believes in 2nd amendment right to carry a weapon - said the more people armed the better.

She stated she believed people have the right to defend themselves. She does not want to serve on the jury, because she feels that regardless of the outcome a group of people will be angry and serving on the jury will put a target on her back.

She talked about her feelings on TM; she's seen the photos of him with the gun, watched the homeless fight video and seen the pics of marijuana. She said it's obvious TM was going down the wrong path and making the wrong decisions.

Pros asked if she believe communities needed more people like Zimmerman -- she said yes.

I do have to say both sides Defence and Prosecution doing a good and real detailed job of selecting the Jurors for this case.
