Does the bible SAY "God's love is unconditional"?
Does it say otherwise?
What exactly does 'unconditional' mean in the context of the question?
Are there conditions to benefiting from God's love?
Are there conditions to a person being loved by God?
What about this -
Jhn 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and
he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
Or this?
Jhn 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him,
If a man love me,
he will keep my words:
and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
Or this?
Jhn 15:10 If ye keep my commandments,
ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
Or this?
Jud 1:21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
(That last one seems to indicate we are to keep ourselves, or remain, in the love of God. Is this a command to keep ourselves in God's love toward us? Or to keep ourselves in our love towards God?)
