Many old time preachers used to preach and people would fall down in terror of hell and damnation. grown sinful men would cry in fear.

God Almighty is not a softie, he is a terror. he thunders in the clouds and men tremble at his voice.
The Lord in righteousness destroyed the old world, then destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah with fire and brimstone.

The Lord brought death and destruction upon the evil doers.

Oh begone such idiocy that we now have as a concept of God.

My God is a Living fire, he speaks and the earth quakes.

This is the balance we are lacking today.

Amen, I have to agree with this, and have seen that one who loves God would nonetheless run screaming from His presence, lol. However, I am convinced that this is for believers, and that we should demonstrate God's love to the unconvinced for purposes of salvation.
