I'm not really ready to reveal the denomination because I don't want a bunch of opinions about it. I want to have a good exploration of it myself.
I'll give you a hint. The way Pentecostals are referred to as people of the name they are referred to as people of the book (bible) ... and google will not help you here

I know who it is.

I don't know much, *IF* it's the group I'm thinking of, other than I do enjoy certain aspects of their teaching. I'll not say anything more than that. Of course I could be guessing wrong.

I wonder what would've happened if the "rapture" had taken place before that offering plate was passed.... LOL!

So wonder what happened to all those rings that got put in the offering plate. I heard of this happening a lot back then.

Yes. I believe the saints were told the rings were to be sold, and the money given back to the church... so in other words, the preacher's pockets got it all, whatever they were worth!
Quite a money making rackateer if you ask me!

I've also never heard of a church turning down gambling winnings... what's with that?

I should have said recognizable I suppose. You did say about not letting the cat out... as if we may know something about them.

Re: Visited a non UPC church
I once gave a diamond ring to the pastor, but I am not going to give up my wedding ring. I consider it more of an heirloom than of a monetary value, of which I am going to pass down to my daughter-in-law.
