There are a lot of people who like to deny that PCIers never really WERE on-steppers; that they were predominantly 3-steppers themselves except for a few. I've even seen it said here on the forum. I've talked to relatives who get VERY defensive about this subject and deny there was really ever serious salvation-by-confession/belief school of thought.

I believe the assertion of the PCI being better organized is base on how their org was organized based on the examination of both "manuals" by Fudge and Bernard ... For example, all but two articles of faith came from the PCI's Discipline ....

Somehow I missed this post...quit simple...if I fail to deny an assertion it is then accepted as an undisputed fact.
So just to make it clear Baron does not have a foot fetish...

I think this goes back to an earlier post by Mastermind, they are not denying any of the assertions and yet they want to cast doubt on the conclusions.
David Bernard did claim that the one step view has always been in the minority regardless of organization, and that it is becoming less and less within the UPC.

As for who the revisionists are... I don't know them by name, but the ones at PPH that changed what the early Pentecostal pioneers wrote to make it align with their doctrine. I know Andrew Urshan's book was modified and I can't think of any others but I know they've been mentioned here.

Yes, and still others that say three steppers and one steppers both (for the most part) made room for non OP via a "Light Doctrine" of differing types...

Let it be understood that Apostolic Friends Forum is an Apostolic Forum.
Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
- There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
