The Supreme court says Corporations can send money to members of a party. Obama took a cheap shot about this at the State of the Union address and Alito with his lips said

It looks political when we examine the Travis County DA

1. Travis county is the most liberal county in Texas. Lets try the conservative there
2 In Travis county, Liberal judges get elected by Liberals
3 The earlier judge refused to recuse himself. He was a loyal donor to Moveone.org A liberal blog funded by Soros.
4 Nov. 1: The judge in Rep. Tom DeLay’s conspiracy case has been removed because of his donations to Democratic candidates and causes. NBC’s Charles Hadlock has the details.
5 A visiting judge had to remove the biased judge who wouldn't budge.
6 Travis County District Attorney Ronnie Earle attempted to keep Perkins as the presiding judge over the prosecution of Tom DeLay
7 of course Moveon was behind peddling

Quote:
DeLay's attorneys objected, noting that Perkins was a member of the Democratic Party, and had contributed to the liberal group MoveOn.org which Delay's lawyers allege sold anti-DeLay t-shirts.

Leftists do their witchhunts and deny them.

This is a politicaly motivated trial.

That is not really a surprise since they are trying a politician. I am not saying any of that is right, even if it is true. And I don't know if it is all true.

Didn't Delay's lawyer try and get the trial moved and was denied?

This whole thing smells.

Conversley, if it walks like a duck....
There were just many unfair things that happened.
Can you imagine being accused of something (anything) and six grand juries can't find fault and then finally....

The Citizens United ruling wasn't in effect when the issue with DeLay came up. If it had been, all of this would have been unnecessary. And how hilarious that just earlier this year, the ruling was passed. Good grief!

And that point works the other way also. Just because some think the government finagled the trial, doesn't mean Delay wasn't guilty.

Re: The Hammer Hammered!!!!

Was this political? Well, let's see! Rangel, a New York Democrat, was found guilty of 11 of 13 violations and let's see what happens to him! Probably just a "now Bro. Rangel, you shouldn't have done that! Go thy way and be a better politician and don't get caught again!"

It doesn't prove he was. You refused to look at the Ted Stevens case. They had evidence. They had a whistleblower later uncover they withheld evidence that the defense never knew about that showed he was not guilty.

I keep asking you why the DOJ tried to investigate for 6 years and couldn't find enough evidence to charge him.
Why couldn't they?

You also seem to be unable to grasp how the suupreme court ruling in january takes a direct hit against this case.

Your prejudice shows. You don't like DeLay and therefore he is guilty.
