The little boy that took his shirt off was in a story that the TSA made up. They bullied the picture taker to delete the video. he didn't.

You are at work and whining because most of America is gettings it's eyes opened about this power grab.

We like to fly. We have several pilots in the family. My brother at one time was a general manager of an airport. Aquila you don't know what you are talking about. You are limited to what the gubment tells you.

Gone are many of the most objectionable provisions of the NPRM and it appears that the applicable weight will be significantly raised from 12,500 lbs. to cover aircraft greater than 30,000 (Beech Hawker and above). The focus has shifted from requiring Partial Security Programs at the affected airports to securing the aircraft.

So we still are seeing the TSA out of mid size biz jets.

AOPA’s 414,000 members are outside your little world. A lot of these members have influence and are running out of patience.

Obama comments on the Supreme Court need to redistribute wealth.

But, the Supreme Court never ventured into the issues of redistribution of wealth, and of more basic issues such as political and economic justice in society. To that extent, as radical as I think people try to characterize the

Warren Court, it wasn't that radical. It didn't break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the Founding Fathers in the Constitution, at least as it's been interpreted, and the Warren Court interpreted in the same way, that generally the Constitution is a charter of negative liberties. Says what the states can't do to you. Says what the federal government can't do to you, but doesn't say what the federal government or state government must do on your behalf.

And that hasn't shifted and one of the, I think, tragedies of the civil rights movement was because the civil rights movement became so court-focused I think there was a tendency to lose track of the political and community organizing and activities on the ground that are able to put together the actual coalition of powers through which you bring about redistributive change. In some ways we still suffer from that.

I think we all agree that some changes are necessary. But there are things going on all over the place that aren't in the news and are SSI. Coadie is essentially ranting and raving over things he doesn't have knowledge about. We don't know if al Shabab issued a threat against airports in the United States. We don't know how many local bomb scares there have been, unless it's leaked to the media. We don't know when actual "devices" have been found, unless it's leaked to, or discovered by the media. And yes... you can bet your bottom dollar many things are not released to the media because it's a security issue. Also, few realize how many are on American soil with connections to groups overseas, have motive, and have issued threats. Not to mention the greatest danger... domestic nutcases who "think" they are part of some jihad or who "think" God called them to do something crazy. We fail to realize, a lot of times when security postures are elevated, it's because of a domestic who has issued some kind of threat because he's upset that he lost his job or his wife left him for a pilot.

You have one years experience? Is it part time?


My first biz trip to the middle east for a month was in the 70's. Our family started a mission in a Muslim country in the 50's. Where was the TSA back then?
In my company, a lot of experience is measured in decades not months.

America needs to secure the southern boarders and take note that the TSA stuff is a distraction. This is a real learning week and teaching moment for America.
