That is GREAT stuff, Sam! I love it!! At the Giants victory parade last week, Freddy Sanchez spoke. In the middle of the season, he was in a big slump and to the point he felt like he didn't belong in the lineup. He told the story of "Sabes" (General Manager, Brian Sabean) coming by his locker one day and saying, "Freddy, pick your head up. We traded for you because we know you're a good player and you belong here. We gave up a good player to get you because we knew you were worth it. You're gonna be ok."
Sanchez said that simple statement turned around his season and his batting average went from the .240's to .292 by the end of the season.
Yet another example of Barnabas walking into the room and changing everything with just a simple statement. I wanna be a Barnabas!!
There was a sweet old lady in the church I attended some time ago...she always said to everyone she met..."You're a winner"!
A little encouragement goes a long way.
Yes, I see your point, however I don't think it holds water. Leaders of people at the point of the sword is not leadership. You can hold power over someone and yet not be a "leader".
Joel is a leader of people, lots of people, because of his ability to love them and to inspire them. Traits of true leadership, matters not that you disagree with his methods. Folks follow voluntarily, not by fear, big difference, one is a leader the other is a tyrant. I don't consider tyrants leaders, they are bullies!!
Saddam's armies were not lead, they were forced by fear of their lives, and it became very evident in the first Gulf war, that they did not have real leadership. A man can have children, and lack fatherly leadership. I hope my point is abundantly clear.
lol, again, what was the real point Crakjak? You keep straining at a gnat and missing THE point. You're arguing a non-poiint.
Again the issue was NOT whether Joel is a good leader. You keep arguing that point as if someone disagreed with you. Nobody questioned Joels leadership skills or the kind of leader he is...again NEXT?
Get it? NEXT? You don't get it.
Last time, nobody is questioning whether Joel is a leader, a good leader or comparing him to Saddam's leadership skills. The point WAS that the issue was NOT about leadership.
The issue is not, was not the leadership skills of Joel or Saddam. The point I made was that you jumped all over MrsBrattified about Joel being a great leader and my point was the issue is not about leadership. Anyone can be a leader. The issue WAS about what Joel is teaching/preaching. In other words, lots of people can be leaders and have large churches or Mosques....that's beside the point. The point is preaching the truth. NEXT? Can we stop with the red herrings and discuss the issue now?

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
Every sinner must repent of their sins.
That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

You still miss my point, anyone that demands folks follow and uses force is not a leader. Talk about a red herrings, using Saddam as an example is the red herring., all ready!! LOL
I love to see you get your drawers in a wad!!!

It amazes me that you can read this very substantive post, and totally igore the great insight it, and continue to argue some goofy point that makes not sense!! That's what I really think of your arguments!!
