  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Another Gurley mistruth ... Seymour received the Holy Ghost in Houston.

Seymour received the baptism of the HG in 1906 ... apparently in Los Angeles.

That quote doesn't actually say he received the HG in Houston nor in 1905. Could it be perceived that way? Yes given the ambiguity of how he wrote it

DA, every time I read the heading to this thread, I read, "God speaking @ UPCI conference". It totally throws me off, and then I do a double take.

Do you reckon God was allowed to say anything at GC or was He just crowded out by the agenda and party line promotional preaching?

Anyone care to address this?

I only went to one year of Bible College. That was 1956/1957 at the Apostolic Bible Institute in St. Paul, MN. Bro. S.G. Norris was the president of the school and also taught classes in doctrine and Old Testament and maybe some more. He believed very strongly that Acts 2:38 outlined three steps which were all necessary to be born again into the family of God, to be part of the Body of Christ, and to be included in the rapture of the church. He did teach that those who never "saw" this doctrine would be included in eternal life if they walked in all the light they had. Bishop G.T. Haywood and others have also taught this. The incentive is, though, preach the Word --preach it just as you see it to provide more light to those who are in darkness and to give them the privilege of being in the first resurrection and to go up with the Church prior to the great tribulation. They believed they were commissioned to preach the Gospel and had that responsibility before the Lord.

He is the all in all ... and his grace reverberates in every place.

Re: Goss speaking @ UPCI conference

The hatred expressed toward the UPC on this thread is off the charts....

Indulge your little minds and spirits all you want....you don't fool God or man, your spirits are infested with bitterness and poison.

I know as well as all of you that the UPC is not perfect....i have been in it all my life, I have seen the abuse, the dishonesty of some and having sat on a District board for 10 years I have seen most everything you can see.

But I have also found that the large majority of the UPC..(and this includes the leadership) simply want to live for God and advance His kingdom.

It has been the greatest tool for the propagation of the Gospel in this century....it has sent out large numbers of missionaries, it has built thousands and thousands of churches..

But here on AFF we have the little small minded bitter, hateful pests who find joy in digging up dirt on UPCI ministers...

If a UPC man falls they post newspaper accounts and dance around in joy at his failings....

If someone makes a mistake or an ethical misstep, they descend like the vultures they are and tear away at them...

They take pleasure in any sin that is revealed in an UPC man....

Many of these same folks will defend and make excuses for the ridiculous antics and excesses of the charismatic/emergent/trinitarian world....but will jump on the slightest real or perceived variance of a UPC minister.

Some of you folks are nice people....in my opinion wrong maybe but good folks who love God..

But some on here are so filled with darkness and the root of bitterness has sprouted until it dominates your life.

I both feel sorry for you, because if you dont repent you will be lost....and at the same time you simply make me sick.

I apologize....i will not be able to respond for several days.
I am preaching out of state and will not be available.
