You are continuing the same thing on repeat mode. We get that Obama, like other past Presidents, has the idea that you pick the faith you most identify with, but you can also hold the idea that all will be in heaven. You're intent on proving he's not only a phony Christian, but that he's a secret Muslim. It's just ludicrous.

Last Sunday, Obama was explaining his difficulty with winning over working-class voters in Pennsylvania and the Midwest, saying they have become frustrated with economic conditions:
Quote:
"And it's not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations," Obama said.

Your claim that he was speaking to Right wing Fundamentalists seems to be false also.

Here are is what I found interesting, if your up for real discussion.
He proclaims to be a christian, but did you notice how he refers to it more often as just being a "guide" so to speak ?
Achieving salvation through the grace of God, is the best he has here, which is good. The rest seems to say he follows the examples of Jesus. In other words, not as the Son of God , but as a role model. The same could be said of Ghandi or your local school teacher. Many religions that do not believe Jesus was the Son of God still hold him up as a respected "teacher/role model" . Just seems like he broad brushed the topic to please everyone. But then again, thats his job, so its to be expected.

He professed that he is a follower of Jesus Christ, a Christian. Tell me, do you grill every person you come in contact with concerning their Christianity? When you go to a church service where someone is preaching, do you interview them first to make sure they have and understand the process of salvation? When you went on/go on dates, do you have the girl fill out forms to make sure she's really saved?
These are rhetorical questions, of course, so I wonder why so many of you are unable to accept Obama's profession as it stands? Did he or has he recited perfectly, for your approval, the precise plan of salvation and his theological and doctrinal understanding of the substitutionary sacrifice of Jesus Christ?
Of course he hasn't. Neither has any other president in the history of the United States.
So just take him for what he says.....unless you hate his politics, of course.

Slow down on your google fingers for a moment.
He's NOT deriding Christianity. Play the clip you posted again. Read the transcript. He's referring to a political bloc that tends to oppose him over everything.

HUH?????
According to most people's theology on this forum, there has never been a saved President yet. What's your point?

There ISN'T a point!!! As of a few minutes ago, I have adopted a new personal policy, and that is, never, never, ever, ever reply or pay attention to a Coadie post. None of them make any sense anyway.
So how you doing, Maxi? Haven't crossed conversational paths with you lately.

Let me be perfectly clear,

You made up the reference to " right wing fundamentalists"
That is because you despise them apparently.
Obama is playing the class warfare card.
Quote:
Last Sunday, Obama was explaining his difficulty with winning over working-class voters in Pennsylvania and the Midwest, saying they have become frustrated with economic conditions:
|
Class warfare is a component of the socialist agenda. They teach this at the SDS where Obama was a member in Chicago. It was also taught to Obama by Frank Marshall Davis. His mentor.
Now Obama is part of the intellectual elite ruling class. They are superior to the rest of us. Especially if we cling to guns and bibles and work non union.
Quote:
However,
through Frank Marshall Davis, Obama had an admitted relationship with someone
who was publicly identified as a member of the Communist Party USA (CPUSA). The
record shows that Obama was in Hawaii from 1971-1979, where,
at some point in time, he developed a close relationship, almost like a son,
with Davis, listening to his “poetry” and getting
advice on his career path. But Obama, in his book, Dreams From My Father, refers to him repeatedly as just “Frank.”
|
I didn't say he was deriding Christianity. He was deriding working class people that carry guns and bibles that are Christians..in Ohio and PA.

Actually, this is copied straight from your post:
Just two weeks later in April, the self-described "devout Christian" expressed privately to San Francisco millionaires his derision of Christians who "cling to religion."
That is written in a such a way that is clearly misrepresentative. My "insertion" is using common sense in the context of his remarks, understanding who is political enemies are. And no, I'm not a big fan of Right Wing Fundies. But my opinion about fundies in their undies is really beside the point here.

Black Liberation Theology was coined by James Cone, PhD
What is the plan of salvation they speak of?
If you can't answer without google, how can you defend Trinity Church teaching?
I like Obama. He has charisma. He can change his story every time the audience is changed.
