••I think Sam covered that pretty well. The biblical principle of God placing who He pleases is quite repetitive throughout the bible, I believe.

Are you trying to tell me NOW that you do not believe that Obama has lied? If you are then I'm disappointed in you. You are following him blindly if that is your take on him. Is a little lying okay? And what GWB, Clinton, JFK or anyone else did, does not justify what Obama has and is doing.

••Oh goodness no, I'm not claiming at all that Obama has lied. Creative "Spin" has become routine with the presidency. I'm just saying that you can find just as much internet buzz about GWB lying as you can Obama, if not more.

Again, I don't want to be offensive to you. But it seems that you give more respect to Obama than you do your fellow ministers on AFF. If I talked to and about Obama like you do some of the ministers here you would take me to task, I think!

••Bring to my attention when I have spoken disrespectfully, and I'll try to correct it. Hopefully, you've noticed the names I've been called by those same "AFF Ministers". I'll list them for you if you want, starting with "Narcissistic, passive-aggressive, liar, bizarre, strange".....it's a long list. I've NEVER done that to other people. I can guarantee you I've never said, "Hey, look at that nekkid picture of BeenThinkin', isn't that funny?', or "Police recently found a dead man with a pink g-string and whatever else you said it was, and they removed the t-shirt with the picture of BeenThinkin' because they didn't want to embarrass them. No way. I wouldn't ever say something like that to anyone here...or anyone, for that matter.

I did not think of GWB as a liar. Give me the examples of his lying placed up beside Obama. And the deal about making bad decisions concerning the war. What President has made 100% right decisions. And much of what Bush has been castigated for concerning the start of the war,the Democrats were in total agreement at the beginning.

••Oh, I don't have examples. I don't dig into that stuff. I just know there are accusations...they were on Hannity & Colmes all the time. My only point was, there are always accusations available on the internet. And the war.....many of the Rumsfeld dealings were questionable, at best. Again, my point is just that every president has weak points that can be shot at. That doesn't mean we shouldn't respect him.

So you are okay with Obama, the President of the greatest Nation in the world, getting up before the whole world and putting down America and it's CHristian relationship and then stand up and uphold Islam and Muslim, even fabricating the story about the population of Muslims in America. What was his purpose for doing this? If we put him down we catch it. But he can put down America and it's okay. ?????

••He "put down America"? How so? I may or may not agree with these things he has done, although I wasn't bothered at all when he bowed. Those that say, "America never bows"......wow, don't even know how to respond to that. But again, the point is, I'm not bothered that he said that America isn't a Christian nation. Our commission isn't to make America a Christian nation with a Christian government. Our "Commission" is to preach the gospel to every creature. The government can do whatever it wants to do. Our job is to make disciples, not republicans.

I hope you take no offense. Don't mean any. But you are a reflection of your ministry and when you are intolerant with your brethern and give them no slack, but give Obama a pass, it questions your charity and the spirit of your ministry. Well, I've probably said too much. You don't need any "preaching" from me.
••"Intolerant of my brethren"??? Seriously, BT??? I'm objecting to tasteless, crass, insensitive rhetoric!! I'm objecting to crass, tasteless jokes that have been told by pentecostal Christians. I have not heard Obama tell any of them and when he does, I'll object strongly.

I think I'd be a little disappointed with God if Obama was his choice. Just kidding God! Another post asked if Jesus ever smiled! Boy I hope God does and that He is smiling right now!

I don't believe we're in a mess. I think we're living in the greatest opportunity the Christian Church has ever had to take the love and grace of Jesus Christ to our culture. Historically, the worse government has been, the greater Christianity has prospered. The gospel has exploded in countries where Christianity is illegal, take China, for example. Ethiopia. I think if we really wanted revival, we might pray that Christianity become illegal in America. Historically, when the gospel is most greatly fought, it has most greatly succeeded.

It isn't necessary that the government succeeds. The only thing that matters is the saving gospel of Jesus Christ.

Maybe I'm wrong. Some way or other I seemed to remember you taking them to task about a multitude of things. Maybe not. Maybe it was only about "distasteful jokes." Maybe I'm wrong. If so, please forgive me.

One final question and then I'm going to bed. Had a long day, great day in service this morning, (my wife even bragged on my preaching this morning and she is my best critic). Did I understand you to post in answer to my statement about Obama lying that you did not say he had ever lied? Do you maintain that he has never lied? Just wondering! I'm gonna read back on your reply and see if I missed something.

This is the statement I'm questioning. ••Oh goodness no, I'm not claiming at all that Obama has lied.

I tried to correct it but I was too late. I left out the word, "Not".....in other words, "Oh goodness no, I'm not claiming at all that Obama hasn't lied."

In closing...if the musicians can come.....I remember as a 14-year-old, that President Jimmy Carter came to an airport near us. I was the biggest Ronald Reagan supporter in history. But when President Carter walked by me, reached out and shook my hand, it was an AWESOME moment. My 14-year-old hands had just touched the hands of the President of the United States. I was in awe.

Even though I wouldn't have voted for him, I don't EVER want to lose that sense of 14-year-old awe I had that day. I still have the picture. I'll treasure it forever.

Was I suppose to bow my head and close my eyes as the musicians were coming? lol

Know the feeling. Met GHWBush at a rodeo. Shook his hand and made his picture. Also have a picture of President Kennedy's motorcade as it was leaving Ft Worth for Dallas, just before he was killed in Dallas. You can't see him in the picture but it was his motorcade. Great memories.

Good evening to you and God's blessings on all that you do!

Re: With one wave of the popes hand.

The Bible clearly states that all authority is from God. However, it remains to be seen just how much involvement God has in each election. The positions of authority are to be respected and we are to pray for our leaders. I do not find anywhere in scripture where I am commanded to respect someone who is godless or who is contrary to God's laws. I will respect their position but not the person. If Obama were to invite me to the White house, I would probably decline unless I really felt an unction from the Lord to accept it.

I get the impression...could be wrong....that maybe you're not, but as for me, I'm patriotic enough that if my president were to beckon me, I would respond, no questions asked. It's the least I could do for my country.

Re: With one wave of the popes hand.

Another reason I have trouble respecting Obama!

NEW STAMP - THE SECOND TRY

Apparently they think that putting hearts and butterflies on it will make most people not realize that the rest is Arabic and probably not something we want to support .

New Stamp - the second one!!!

USPS New 44-Cent Stamp Celebrates a Muslim holiday.

President Obama has directed the United States Postal Service to REMEMBER and HONOR the EID MUSLIM holiday season with a new commemorative 44-Cent First Class Holiday Postage Stamp.

REMEMBER to adamantly & vocally BOYCOTT this stamp, when you are purchasing your stamps at the post office.

All you have to say is "No thank you, I do not want that Muslim Stamp on my letters!"

To use this stamp would be a slap in the face to all those AMERICANS who died at the hands of those whom this stamp honors.

REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of Pan Am Flight 103!

REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of the World Trade Center in 1993!

REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of the Marine Barracks in Lebanon !

REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of the Military Barracks in Saudi Arabia !

REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of the American Embassies in Africa !

REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of the USS COLE!

REMEMBER the MUSLIM attack on 9/11/2001 !

REMEMBER all the AMERICAN lives that were lost in those vicious MUSLIM attacks!

Pass this along to every Patriotic American that you know and get the word out!

Honor the United States of America !

You see that is where we differ. I'm patriotic enough to decline HIS invitation should I ever receive one. (I'm not holding my breath!) It would be the least I could do for my country.
