Long-sleeve pajamas? Nuh-uh.

That is what I wear. I'm certain your grandfather wore the same if you grew up in Pentecost ..

Sorry you feel that way friend... Remember what the Saviour said about the little flock and the narrow way.

Such a small vision of The Kingdom... you read his words to mean we are "just a chip off the ol' block." Narrow way doesn't mean ignorant hermeneutic.

Your convictions are yours and your alone. I am sure some follow similar convictions too. Do you or are you trying to generalize your belief of what standards are as a blanket covering for everyone? Where everyone is or should be under th same convictions as you?
I read earlier that you teach your kids to love those that wear make-up and other things, right? Do you teach them to love those of similar faith but not exactly same convictions? I know many, and I was one of them, that love those of the world 'cause they DON'T know any better' but looked down on those of similar faith for different standards' cause they SHOULD know better.' Which way do you teach this?

Re: A Loving appeal to those that wear makeup
When we pride ourself in our rules and not heartfelt convictions we will soon find ourselves empty of God and His presence...When we judge others by even our own convictions we will become judgemental and hard and often our children become bitter...
Knowing whatever language is no good if we do not know and practice 1 Cor 13....
I cringe when I hear people talk of all their works and little of their Christ...

Re: A Loving appeal to those that wear makeup
I hate to say this but so many have emptied their churches with their long lists of rules...Please do not think I have no convictions however the empty pews and padlocked churches frighten me...

My wife would be stronger anti than I. I would say moderation, as in most things, would be the predominant consideration.
PS I am not so sure I consider myself a "UPCI member"... Even though my pastor has a UPC license, the church is not affiliated, nor am I.

As odd as these conviction maybe to you I don't think that it is wise or good to downgrade someones convictions. Convictions whatever they may be are very personal and important to that individual. Saying they are odd is one thing, but saying they are ignorant is another altogher. Just my opinion...for the record I am a shorts wearing, facial hair wearing, son of the King. I even started a thing on her a movement of Pentecostals that wear shorts. I was the founding Bishop......
