Thanks, but I'm rethinking and that book may be the God of Two Testaments instead. Will have to check my library and see if I have that other book.

One time, my former UPC pastor said that one reason why men should not have facial hair is because of the story of Joseph. He said that when Joseph went in to see the Pharaoh, he had to shave his beard....So when we enter the presence of our King, we need to shave our beards, too.
I guess he didn't know that the High Priest of Israel had a beard? ( Ps. 133:2)

Heres whats stunning to me. On this Apostolic Forum with thousands of people no one seems to agree that beards are sin. And YET the doctrine goes on. If not in the form of calling it sin in the guise of "platform standards". When will it end?

Because it starts with someone having the guts to walk into church wearing a beard. Or someone willing to 'buck the system'. So, since no one wants to be the first to buck the system, it just goes on and on.

I have one, so does our pastor. We are a non affiliated UPC
Pastor carries a upc licence.
So far no district officials have fussed about it.
