Or having your groceries delivered so that you do not have to look at the magazine covers at the check-out line...

The older I get, I find that when I do watch television, it is more the educational type stuff... (like those engineering or home improvement shows, or shows like Sunrise Earth as I drink my coffee (or I go out back and watch the squirels, same concept). I've pledged to finish the fiction shows that I am watching (how many episodes does it take to break out of prison, anyway?) and not start any new ones. My life is only going to be so long, I do not want to squander it watching too much television and living vicariously through fictional characters. There is too much stuff to explore in real life to squander too much time on television. Don't get me wrong, at my worst, I have watched WAY too much television... this decision to changed has happened over the last 5 years. I was one of the kids that didn't have a television growing up, but would do nothing but watch it when I went to someone else's house. I was fascinated by something that I could not have and watched it every second that I could... this led to some bad television habits as an adult.

you know, you can make an identical list of 35 things for any and every activity out there...I was reading a book the other day by an author I've read for years...all of a sudden it started on a subject that made me uncomfortable, and I dropped the book in the trash can. Does that make reading as a whole wrong? Or reading fiction wrong? No it doesnt.

Tv isnt and never will be the issue. Moderation isnt the issue...nor is who controls what they see (tv vs. internet) the issue

it's all about the individual...and their own spiritual condition. If you cant turn off the TV or change the radio station b/c some COMMERCIAL is over the line, then you have a problem - and it isnt the radio or TV

why do we argue over these silly little issues? it doesnt compute with me.

Since when can't responsible CHRISTIANS make good choices for themselves?

Since when is it so wrong to decide not to do something for your own salvation EVEN If it's OK for you to do it and you not get critizied for making the choice?

We all draw our lines in different places, so?
