This is blatant abuse of religion, a manipulation ploy to try to turn Christians toward your right wing political philsophy. Bro, we just look at it differently as far as politics goes. Both of us would never advise abortion accept in the most extreme of circumstances.
This is where you greatly error. I've spoken nothing about politics, you are the one who keeps bringing politics into the equation. The Bible is the basis of all authority. Yes there must be laws in the land for a civil society. The greatest civil society, which America once was, is a land that governs based upon what the Bible dictates.

You are blinded by your political views and have elevated those party affiliations above the Word of God.

To me the saddest part of this is that you are probably in the majority. It appears that most "Christians" are care more about their political views than they do the Word of God.

Bro...America's Law has always been based on English tort law. Do your homework. By the way...this is the election section of the forum. It's about politics here.

Oooo. Scary. lol Get real. I just disagree with the political conservatives. We agree on biblical principles, I just don't trust the government to enforce the bible.

So will the government have to pay the big bucks to advertise during next year's Super Bowl?

Or will President Obama simply commandeer the Half Time show to compel everyone to rush out and abort their babies?

Will the government invest more in certain markets to encourage abortions by the folks who live there as a way of curbing excess population growth?

(It's not as far-fetched as it reads, unfortunately.)

Maybe the government will start to issue tax refund credits for abortions!

In a land whose government is for the people, by the people, we need to influence people to see abortion in the light of killing a baby human being.

President Obama is doing what a good American President does, honoring the will of the people he governs.

Don't look at him. He's only a reflection of our failure to influence our country (in terms of abortion and homosexuality).

Look at your neighbors, your co-workers, your associates and the people you meet on a daily basis.

Then look at yourself in the mirror and wonder whether your witness has influenced anyone else's morality, so that the child is seen as more than just a choice.

The battle against abortion in this country can only be fought by us, through the logical convincing of the folks in our sphere of influence or by the work of the Holy Spirit in the lives of the folks in our circles.

Either way, government is left out and this is where Conservatives don't understand their fellow Americans.

Slavery was outlawed in the 1860's. Jim Crow developed and persisted until America experienced a heart transplant, over 100 years later. America is recovering fine from that particular surgery.

A change in America's heart will result in a change in America's laws. Until then, our sense of freedom, concerning abortion, will remain perverted.

But only in the south, Lincoln didn't free the slaves in the Union states. He was a politician just as any other politician. He was hated at that time as much as you hate Bush. He was no great hero in the eyes of many people.

They may explain it away to their fellow man but can they explain it to God and that is what is important.
