We're just mindless church zealots, Sherri.

I suppose so! I can barely stand to miss a church service. We have 9 AM and 11 AM, and I just have to be at both. I don't want to miss a move of God!!!

It's a good habit to be on time for work and church.

What bothers me is when church is started late because so many are running late. I think this merely encourages the behavior. Start on time and too bad for those that are late. Maybe they'll leave earlier the next time.

My feelings and practice exactly....We start right on time...have a professional digital clock with big red numbers on the back wall facing the platform...we start a countdown exactly 5 minutes or 2 1/2 minutes before church on the big screen...(Go to sermonspice.com for some great countdowns) and when it ends, we start church no matter who is or isn't there....

Haven't read the thread but to me being late (except for good reason of course) is ........

1. Inconsiderate

2. Impolite

3. Sends a message that you don't care enough about the people or the event to be on time

4. Possibly disrespectful

5. Annoying

I'm sure these have all or at lease in part been mentioned by others. Oh well ........ my 2 cents worth.
