My understanding is she fired the guy because of not playing team ball with the gov. on offical business. which would be a reason to fire the guy.

but as Stew said, this is alll quite fluid.

honestly Light, we dont agree and that is fine. simply put, I dont want Barak Obama because of what he believes politically. I do want McCain because he is much more close to me than Obama.

it really is that simple.
With all of his drinking problems and violence, I wonder why he is still on the force? I think Palin and her family are pretty normal to wonder that.

Maybe Monehan was doing a very good job about keeping him on the force. He looks like he needed to be fired, too!

The Taser incident seems a bit different than what you would think as well when you read the particulars.

I've read that Palin's family has made numerous allegations against the BIL that were never substantiated....to the extent that the judge in the divorce case basically said they were harrassing.
I didn't see the big deal with the moose shooting either IF it went down as he said. The thing about these situations it he said she said and then somewhere in the middle is the truth.

But there was others to sustaniate the drinking and driving and that is serious business for a police officer.

I read that he said he didn't know it was wrong for him to claim the Moose on his wife's tag. If he's a Trooper, he would know that.

Well that is true PLUS he was an officer of the wildlife which doubly makes him know better.

But husband and wives share a lot of things and I could see me giving my husband my moose ticket.

I took it as the Washington crowd, but it looks like the locals were having a "boy's club" of their own.

I think Monehan should have gotten ride of Wooten. I read of one couple that said they saw him drinking in his patrol car. Going into a bar and some other place using his badge when he shouldn't have.

Just your typical little town Trooper. He thinks he's got all authority above the law.

Monehan said that Palin never asked him to fire Wooten. That to me is "no pressure" coming from her.

That is true. Why did he leave it at his FIL's and never pick it up? That's what I would want to know.

Re: Palin Investigation Tainted

I'm just saying that when you read all of the many allegations that the family has made against him in the past that have not been substantiated...enough that a judge admonished the family, then you read the particulars of some of the ones that they have painted so terribly, it makes you wonder whether there was an agenda to begin with. To follow that up with pressuring after becoming governor (if that is what she did), firing after it wasn't done, then following it up by lying about the whole thing, you've got enough problems that you should look at it very hard. Apparently many people did feel like there was a serious personal vendetta that preceded her governorship and that may have made them more reluctant to act on her allegations.

We don't know if she has lied for sure. That's what the investigation is bringing out. Monehan said he had lots of phone calls and e-mails. I'm waiting to see.

Many people felt that way because of her coming in and wanting to change some of the corruption in the state.

Re: Palin Investigation Tainted

The fact he has been married and divorced 4 times tells me he has some issues of some kind.
