Re: How Has AFF Impacted Your Life?

Actually I have met great people and forged some great friendships here ...

Among my friends who I've met her and have personal links to outside of the forum (phone or in person) are Ron Lennex, Shelby Smith (Adino), Delta Guitar, CrazyHomie, Anapko, DeltaSoundman, Renda, Raven, Sherri, Pastor D, Rhoni, Bill Price, Mark, MOW and Pastor Poster ...

Others I've met as a result of AFF are CC1, Pianoman, Mercy, Chosenbyone

I hope to meet Nahkoe this month

I knew James Griffin and Chicago Pastor before AFF .... but it has been a way we continue to connect and fodder for conversation.

J-Roc is my best friend from childhood ... and Darcie ....my sister and MA, my mama.

Of course there are dozens of others that I've had wonderful interactions w/ electronically.

(I hope I haven't missed anyone)

The most pertinent impact would be ...

had I not met DeltaGuitar on here and GNC ... then gotten permanently banned last December and help found Synadelfos ... I would have never met my fiance, Lady Cass. It was DeltaGuitar who invited her to join SynaDa ... last January. The rest is history.

So I want to thank Admin for kicking my tail out here.

There ya go, any testimony with my name is a good testimony. Ha Ha. And if our church had not split then I wouldn't have spent so much time on here and the other forums trying to find out more about our UPC doctrine. So, really Dan, you should thank deltachurchsplitter.

I too have wasted a lot of time here, but it's cheap entertainment and you don't have to get all dressed up for it either!
So I don't have to wear a suit & tie???

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

*BUMP* For Renda since she didn't see it (or more likely ignored it)

Re: How Has AFF Impacted Your Life?

I've met Nate Slatter, Ron Lennox, and Randy Graham, all good people, have also talked to Carpenter and Steve Stevens on the phone... but never actually met them. I think that is about it. I haven't really changed any of my views, have just become more and more transparent about them. I watch some other people swing back and forth but I am just me, all the time.
