Disagrements are one thing Bro. But putting things out there like they are on the stones that Moses brought back from the Mount is another.

Truth knows no denomination. Truth has no label. The source of truth is Jesus Christ.

I am here under this provision in the rules: "We welcome and encourage visitors of other faiths to post and ask sincere questions in their honest search to learn more of our faith and about our wonderful Lord, Savior, and God whose name is Jesus Christ." If the admins feel that my questions are not "sincere", they are more than welcome to let me know, and I will honor their opinion and will leave, even if I don't agree. It's their playground!

But it seems to me that questions, even if they are intended as "challenges", would be welcome, and an opportunity to 1) hone your skills, as you said, in defending the Truth and 2) enlighten an "unbeliever" (as you folks may think of me).

To my friends for clarity sake and yes I do mean friends:
Dave that has deep Pentecostal roots but is far removed though always respectful to his heritage
Newman & Felicity with whom I have argued fervently and sometimes so pointed I had to apologize to
CC1 & Pianoman though we be worlds apart are friends
Since I first came on FCF it was the libs against the cons we have fought over every issue there is and some quite heated. Yet since then there has been the slide into what I percieve as an ex-Pentecostal or really an anti Pentecostal site. I cannot name everyone but most us of have our roots from when Jim was yet alive in the old FCF days.
Some particularly one poster I have carried a heavy burden for that I told him personally I was concerned for him.
I am not seeking sympathy or asking anyone to ask me to stay I have never done this but to part without thanking all those I have enjoyed conversing with would not be right. I will lurk and who knows maybe sometime later I will post though under the same climate I think not. Any that I have offended by my pointedness or directness I sincerely apologize.

Elder E. I love you man (insert big blubering crying hug here)

My apologies for our misunderstanding earlier today. I assure you, I'm as Jesus name as you are.

I hope you continue to lurk, post or whatever you feel you are led to do.

One I've noticed is there are factions of folks on internet forums who seem to enjoy needling people.I like to see how folks draw their conclusions from the scriptures, but if I don't agree with you I won't hate you or poke fun at you.

I think that's called being mature.

Conservatives and liberals do the same thing.

I was told something just yesterday by a Pastor that YOU know, and it shocked me. The confusion on my face caused him to say it a second time, and frankly I am still trying to reconcile it.

He said, "The word of God is not God." I understand having a knowledge of scripture and lack the power behind it, but he was almost relating that the spirit is stronger than the word. It was pretty scary in fact, because I was lamenting that kids nowadays have no knowledge of scripture. He was saying it is more important that these kids have a more spiritual conscience than a conscience toward the word.

People say all kinds of dumb stuff...let them, but don't deprive those of us who drink in and absorb what you have to say, and choose to argue once in a while on the basis of scripture.

Bump for Brother Epley...

Right on Scott.

I can't stand all the prickles and sticks, just disagree and give a good reason with sound logic as to why....and don't call the person challenging you ignorant.

Can I still call you ignorant? (Say, I may have left a comma out of that question. )

Yea, but you are the only one...and I get to reciprocate...except more gentle but only because you are in the ministry.
