This is why I am in favor of test-tube babies. I can pick the gender, eye color, etc.

I guess one could look at it as being born with another kind of handicap.

I think God knows exactly what to think. It's us who may get the wrong impression or may judge unfairly someone in this predicament.

12 So whenever you speak, or whatever you do, remember that you will be judged by the law of love, the law that set you free. 13 For there will be no mercy for you if you have not been merciful to others. But if you have been merciful, then God's mercy toward you will win out over his judgment against you.

Why do these women turn me off so bad?! I can hardly stand to look at them. I don't mean to be unloving or unkind, but I just go when I come in contact with some of these women!
As everyone else has said, because it's unnatural...!!

Thing is, this is what could have happened to the 'woman' Felicity saw today!

I don't know if she was gay. This is a Christian book store. Of course that doesn't mean a shopper here might not be far as that goes but perhaps maybe more unlikely.

I guess there can be physiological/hormonal reasons why a woman might be built like and look like a man without her being gay but you know there are things these women could do to make them look less that way. That's what I don't understand. Why do they dress "masculine", walk that way and keep the butch haircuts and all.

It just makes me SO uncomfortable.

I have a friend who used to make much fun of me because I couldn't stand to be around gay men. There was a chinese restaurant that we used to go to that had a gay waiter and if he was waiting on me I would get a drink and leave. My friend laughed at me as though it was some comedy playing out.

Finally one day I told him, "Listen, maybe you're just a little more comfortable around perversion than I am." He got the point. I went on to explain that it wasn't a 'hatred' or a 'abuse' of the person. I just simply can't be comfortable around them! Makes my skin crawl and my spirit become vexed.

As a Pastor I have worked with some of them but I'm just not sure that God wants us to feel comfortable around such abominations. Love the sinner, yes, but the sin is an abomination that even God hates.

A real woman is repulsed at these lesbo types,it's a ugly spirit.
We love the sinner but hate the sin.

There can be several reasons for masculine women and feminine men. Most all men have xy chromosomes, and most all women have xx chromosomes. However one out of every 600 babies are born with chromosomes that differ from this.

There are men that have xxy or xx chromosomes. There are women that have xy chromosomes. Typically these folks have bodies that are less then masculine or less then feminine. Typically they are sterile and cannot produce children. Typically they have likes/dislikes and tendencies that, to some degree, mirror their chromosomal makeup.

There can also be those born with both sexes gonads.

Most women produce testosterone. Most men produce estrogen. However, there can be too much of these in some people.

Most of these people know only too well the rejection that comes from society because they are not "normal."

If this woman you encountered was not homosexual. If this woman was the product of chromosomes or gonads or hormones, imagine how she felt when she sensed your disgust. How sad.

For some Christians to see that these people are less then masculine or less then feminine, and call it "discernment" of a homosexual spirit is even sadder.

Yes, some of these people might be homosexual. However, to assume ("discern") that they are homosexual is wrong.

No wonder so many "different" people out there consider Christians to be a bunch of judges and full of criticism.

If someone is truly homosexual then so be it. I am not condoning homosexuality for Biblical reasons. However to assume all different people (when it comes to being masculine or feminine) are homosexual is hurtful to them and just wrong. In my opinion you and others like CC1 need to seriously consider whether you need to repent of your actions and attitudes.

How would you feel if you had different chromosomes or hormones or gonads and you knew the disgust Christians would lavish on you?

As far as your disgust with her: In OUR society, most men dislike less then masculine men. Most women dislike less then feminine women. They (those with disgust) are a product of our society that constantly glorifies slim curvaceous buxom women and muscle encased men.

I have been helping/counselling a sister in her 40s that is naturally not a feminine woman. She has facial hair that she deals with. She has no figure - in our societies terms. She is unmarried because men are not attracted to her. She loves the Lord. She has done NOTHING to produce her masculine looking physical features. She has had a life FULL of rejection, hurt, and loneliness (even in the church). How sad.

Just my thoughts.
