I worked for a company for five years and each year our bonus was 2 lotery tickets. Out of 10 tickets total not one was a winner, not even another free lottery ticket out of the deal. Don't even ask me if I would have kept the money if there had been a winner..... I am not stupid lol and I would have happily tithed and offering'd on it as well.
Back in NH, it was a common thing for those not in church to give a lottery ticket as a gift. I never quite understood it. Seemed quite tacky to me. Never did I recieve a winner. Am I bitter? I guess I might be perceived to be but really I am not.
I agree with you, and you don't sound bitter. Giving something useless is just a bit weird. I'd rather have somebody hand me a dollar than a lottery ticket.
Really I would like for my oldest daughter to find salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.
I desire to fulfill my spiritual destiny and be fruitful in the work of God.
I would like to be out of debt.

I got my bonus today. $60 -- which is what I figured it would be. They gave us $5.00 for each month we have been there up to a year. Woo-Hoo. Not a lot, but I'm not giving it back. I'm grateful.
As an added bonus, I called in to one of our radio stations yesterday and won a $50 gift certificate to the mall in Jackson, which is where I do most of my Christmas shopping.
I am SO bad. I haven't even started my Christmas shopping and we have 12 shopping days left! I have $30 in gift certificates, so combined with what I have gotten in the last two days, I am hitting the mall this weekend!
