Again, straw man. I was not talking about people from any religion. I was referring to people who had had repentance towards God and faith towards Jesus Christ, had been baptized (howbeit with imperfection), and had been sealed with the holy Spirit of promise which is a guarantee of things to come.

Well, bro....the bottom line is I believe and line up exactly with the ORIGINAL plan of salvation in Acts....I have NOTHING to lose and I am secure knowing I have obeyed the Apostles doctrine to the "T"...


On the other hand, If anyone is in DISAGREEMENT with the ORIGINAL plan of salvation and is in opposition to it in ANY WAY, SHAPE OR FORM....God have mercy on him or her at the Great White Throne.


Lets face it...you and I have the Holy Ghost, we can backslide and we can still end up in hell(even though we are baptized). There is no such thing as "eternal security". You guys are touting before God and men that you are "sin free" without being baptized....Thats goofy bro.

I made these comments and did not get a response. I was hoping to get feedback...

I know a preacher who says NOTHING when he baptizes. He has the candidate repent as confess Jesus as Lord then he dunks them.

Another preacher does not use a formula, but quotes Romans 6:4 when he baptizes somebody saying....

I therefore bury you with him by baptism into death: that like as Jesus Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so you also should walk in newness of life.

Are these two examples going to hell because the pastor did not use the word "name" or the word "baptize"?

Notice here first that we are speaking today of someone who was crucified, and someone who has risen from the dead! What does Peter say? "By Him" this man stands before them whole. By His name and By Him are one and the same. When we ask something "in Jesus' name" we are asking Him, Jesus, to answer. When Peter prayed for the lame man to be healed, he didn't get back a form letter, or a fax or an e-mail from heaven-Jesus answered the prayer, and the man was healed.

Listen guys, if ANY of you are not Baptized in the Name of Jesus, you can get into your bathtub and baptize yourself tonight. It is totally legitimate. If you dont trust another man and "his words" spoken over you...just do it yourself. I have a good friend in prison that did it because the chaplain forbid baptism in the name of Jesus(not the titles though). Dont take a chance guys...do it tonight. Make sure your sins are remitted.

Just say this..."I as a believer in the Lord Jesus, baptize you(and say your name), in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins(just like you are baptizing someone else)....and when you come up out of the water, doing this in childlike faith, will get a spiritual conformation from the Lord right there in the water.
