Antipas, it looks to me that you still are angry from yesterday? I was led to believe that this xmas was to be about joy, peace on earth? Good will towards men? You know drag out the old holy pine, and prop it up and place the star of Chiun (Remphan) on its pointed top. Sit before it, by the fire place as the yule log burns. Cristes Maesse (OE), is the liturgy, the mass is a Eastern and Western Church sacrament. The apostles never recorded any Christian festival, other than the Passover that was being kept by Jewish Christians and their Gentile counterparts. Therefore we have no such edict in the scripture to keep, commemorate, observe, or celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, or His baptism by John (Epiphany Eastern Church) or the vist of the Magi (Epiphany Western Church). Every year I have this discussion on the forum. I have noticed over the years that the same individuals who attack, mock and fight standards of separation, totally contradict themselves when it comes to their own pet tradition. Leaving me with the thoughts that, it's not about what thus sayeth the Lord. It's all about American Apple Pie Christian Culture.

Come on Antipas, you don't really mean the above. If you were offended by me, I'm sorry. If you were offended by the truth, then deal with it.

Re: We're Not Putting X-Mas Trees Up!
I'll probably get in trouble for saying this...but I have to say what's right...
I'm not angry with you personally Bro EB (I don't really know you), but I don't appreciate it being insinuated that I'm (or anyone else on this forum for that matter) is a pagan, Catholic, or idolator merely because we have Christmas trees. We don't worship them, nor are we Catholic. To say such is to tell an untruth, a slanderous untruth.
That's the truth.

I agree.
I have never asked my Christmas tree to heal my kids.
But there was one who died on a tree so they could live and have their healing....

You look bad in your walk with Christ because you have taken up with the bunny.
I also have a hard time wondering why folks will commemerate Easter but not Christmas.

Oddly enough....I actually *do* skip Easter. I actually find it far more problematic than Christmas.

Re: We're Not Putting X-Mas Trees Up!
I see this topic of discuusion goes on. i had hoped after what I said yesterday we could all come to an agreement on this pagan Christmas tree issue we have going here.
My knees have never bowed before a Christmas tree and they will continue unbent.
The book of Issiah strongly speaks against the cutting down and the adorning of a tree.
We are not to adorn ourselves, surely we can see how wrong it is to adorn a tree with silver and gold.

How right you are, holy woman! Can you believe some of the preachers on this forum wear neck ties to adorn their bodies? And some of the unholy women are going to church without nylons?
