Salvation is NOT about where you go to church...It's a living PERSONAL relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.

DB,
You did the right thing. I hope this lady keeps her eyes on Jesus instead of her church doctrine or pastor's teaching regarding the HMH junk. I hope every woman taught that doctrine of devils has a revelation of freedom in Christ.
If a woman's HAIR length defines her position in the Kingdom, all of us might as well pack it in and become followers of Edgar Cayce or Jeanne Dixon. It is occultic, with a misplaced emphasis on external appearances. The Kingdom of God has to do with HEART issues, in case anyone has forgotten.

Re: Trying to Rescue Another from HMH Doctrine
What's the difference in being convinced to quit listening to one man (pastor, etc.) and listening to ANOTHER man. They're both human. That second man is going to tell you what he believes (right or wrong). And it could be an evangelist, "prophet", 'apostle", whatever he calls himself.
IF we HAVE RECEIVED the HOLY GHOST, why not pray until we have an ANSWER. The unbelieving Jews did not believe that Jesus was their Messiah. He didn't come to them as they thought a "KING" should come! He didn't come in royal robes. Their minds could not preceive this humble Jesus, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, as their KING. Could it be possible that many today will miss their KING, simply because they won't LISTEN to the VOICE of someone they cannot see with their physical eyes. The Word speaks of having eyes but they cannot see, having ears to hear, but they cannot hear! I have seen and known many people that listen to every voice that comes along. Whatever happened to "try the spirits to see IF they be of GOD"!
If we walk in the SPIRIT, we will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh! We will KNOW what we should and should not do. God did not send Jesus to condemn, but to save. The Spirit convicts today, but does that mean that everyone responds to that "still small voice". Or do some override and reject His Voice. Or listen to the voice, as in the Garden, "you shall NOT surely die (spiritually(.
When we get our eyes on ANY HU-MAN , and our focus off of JESUS, we are headed for BIG trouble! There was a reason Paul said to follow him AS he FOLLOWED Christ. There have been many voices calling since our dear old Dad taught we children from the time we were old enough to be taught. Dad, later as our pastor, would tell us, "If all you know about the Bible is what you have heard me teach, it is not near enough". He never wanted his children, grandchildren or the congregation to focus on him. But as Paul, to follow him AS he followed Christ. Dad has been gone 22+ yrs. But he put into me that we SHOULD always "LOOK TO JESUS". When questions, etc., arise, I know how to find the ANSWER! Just "LOOK TO JESUS"! I found the ANSWER, I learned to PRAY!
This is not directed to any one individual and is not intended for offence! YES, we need to "Look unto JESUS, the Author and The Finisher of our faith". Jesus told Thomas that he had believed because he had SEEN, but "Blessed are those have NOT SEEN, yet have believed"! Did you receive the HOLY GHOST when you believed"!

Re: Trying to Rescue Another from HMH Doctrine
Amen. While I do think every person has a
Right Pastor, that God can lead anyone who seeks to,
and surely changes as individual learning needs change,
the purpose there is not to get all excited about a certain
teacher, but to understand their Spiritual gifts,
what part of the elephant they're touching...
And ya, Scriptural discernment seems to be virtually
unknown right now. Not meaning that people don't have it,
but it isn't taught much, or no one is interested in learning.

Was there not a Wig party during the mid 1800s? I believe that this party lasted for nearly 25 years.
