By proxy, yes. Luckily for most Scripture it isn't necessary, and the mis-translations are well known. "Lexicon" will get one anywhere that multiple translations will not; all you are missing in lexicon is the word breaks. It becomes irrelevant, imo, if your interpretation is whacked anyway. People get "Rapture" from the Bible, I just read "Michael" talking about zillions of years of torturous damnation, et al--none of this is in Scripture, or in inspiration from God.
Proxy?

by going online, entering a verse, clicking "lexicon" (in biblecc, anyway) and following the trail. The lexicon gives you everything but the word breaks, which would be useless to virtually anyone now.

That's not the original MSS.

No, but any issues, I believe, arise in translation, and we ultimately have to translate for ourselves, anyway. If 90% of this is "love your neighbor," and if 90% of the remaining 10% is discernable, we're now talking about 1%. the Word is living, and the spirit should guide us there, anyway, imo.

Well, that would be nice.

The "Spirit" "teaches" contradictory things to different people. Is that as it should be?
Hmm, to that I would say that there are more than one probability for this common misunderstanding, and understanding this is central to one's walk. My theories run to gifts being distributed unevenly, listening to men instead of Spirit, not allowing for other men to listen to Spirit, not recognizing varying conditions that prolly explain the apparent contradiction, etc.
Our desire for an earthly king, and therefore other forms of Law--boards, codes, whathaveyou, that attempt to homogenize Spirit, and enforce uniformity, just make me want to...talk like Kirk...
