Churchill wasn't claiming to be an Executive Director of a Christian organization. There is NO correlation between the two. A person can claim to believe in God without being fully devoted, but a person who serves as an Executive with a Christian organization doesn't get a pass.

He felt the filibuster was important and only apologized "for inconveniencing their personal schedules". The actual point he was drawing is that these people didn't care about the important issue before them.

I can't remember who was complaining that they had to go to an event with one of their children, being all dramatic about it.

What they were really mad about is that Cruz hauled them on the floor to stand before their constituents back home, forcing them to admit that they had lied about repealing Obamacare to get elected. They still hate him today for that, but it was a good move on his part - put your money and time where your mouth is.

There is much more to him than you and many voters realize.

Sister, the correlation is concerning devoutness, one Churchill YOU used to show his piety you failed. Why? Because he wasn't devout. Andrew Doran made the statement that he wasn't that devout. In his circles of Orthodoxy (which incidentally you haven't the slightest idea what you are talking about) means a plethora of issues, everything from not believing in all the doctrine, to not keeping all the feasts days, but mainly Xmas and Easter.

Churchill represented a Anglican Christian country, he claimed Christianity, even though he wasn't as devout as you FIRST tried to show. Andrew Doran executive director of In Defense of Christians (IDC) made the statement that he wasn't that devout, but he also made the statement that he describes himself as a Catholic with a great affinity for Orthodox Christianity. Maybe that's what he meant by not being that devout to his Catholicism? Both are now in question of their piety, but when your witnesses are challenged you shoot them in the head.

But here is the problem, you are defending what is looking like a political buffoon, who may never reach the primaries but doesn't even care about that, he is a distraction, more of the entertaining bread and circuses. Therefore you seemingly will do anything to protect your candidate and justify his behavior. You have your work set out for you dear sister. Ted Cruz told a group of people who already feel abandoned by the United States that if he becomes president that he will NOT STAND with them if they don't become Zionists. That is insane, and for this Ted Cruz is looked upon as a clueless American whose only understanding of the Middle East is Muslims and Zionists.

So, why apologize? Why did he apologize for messing up their day on the golf course? Or babysitting their children? This is their job, they have to do what the population of their states need them to do. So, please explain why Ted is pampering them and apologizing?
