It's only making a comparison between angels being judged and sinful men being judged. The text does not say the angels sinned in the days of Noah. Like, remember Lots' wife.

The fall of angels was not mentioned with no purpose. I already stated it is like saying "remember Lot's wife." Same experience to be made known to others who likewise backslide as did some angels. Saying there was more than one fall of angels is getting silly, to be honest with you, in my estimation.

hmm, gimme til tomorrow on this; i'd like to rerereread the passage; but it seems--seemed--pretty clear that there was a separate sentence passed upon some fallen angels who went beyond some bounds after being ejected from heaven. really tough to decipher the allegorical style. i'm curious what a Jewish scholar would say here now.

nope, and "daughters of men" are "of Adam," tho you might note that neither Cain nor Abel are listed in Adam's genealogy, which seems weird? If you can't define "sons of God" definitively here, i think you are done; but if the "sons" are Adam's, through Seth, bene ha Elohim seems at least misleading.

Anyway, the overall picture of Genesis shows a pattern.

Adam and Eve sin and fall, and man goes further into sin and Cain is separated from them. Chapter 6 shows the families of Seth and Cain converge as "men began to multiply across the face of the earth."

The sons of God, Sethites, backslide further and join Cain's backslidden heritage, until all mankind is sinful, except Noah.

The flood comes.

God starts anew.

Man splits off again and decides to make his own name great, which alludes to Eve's temptation to be like God - self-exaltation. Man seeks to build his own city, like Cain did after his departure.

Meanwhile, God calls Abram and says He'll make Abram's name great, and God will build him a city.

Contrasts and opposites.

Throwing in angels and humans having sex together is just stupid. lol

sounds plausible. obviously cain and abel were not in Adam's lineage, lol--but this makes me wonder why the daughters of men are "ha-Adam?" And your argument here seems to make "Adam" into "Mankind" rather than a single individual, which i suspect anyway.
