So very true. Many of the ex UPCers go after the UPC with an ulterior motive, such as to draw from current members, or to justify certain things (usually standards or doctrine) they no longer want to abide to. You are correct, they are still in force throughout the internet sowing their seeds of contentions.

It’s all the disgruntled EX. No matter what they are an EX from. Some are hurt, and convert that hurt into different actions online. But mostly they want to punish those who remained behind. In marriages the children who remain with the parent who chose to not leave. The EX tends to get upset with the remainer.
If you leave a religion the religion is bad. Why? Because you left it. But seriously, people do leave relationships and religions. They have ligitimate reasons. Yet, those people MOVE ON. They don’t start EX Jehovah Witness hand wringers are us groups. Which means people never get closure or even want closure.

I think there is another, more insidious reason and motive behind all of this. It's not so much what someone did or allegedly did, it's the person they were and became and feel guilty over, that's where the true trauma lies. They cannot reconcile their own participation in something that they eventually came to see as evil, because it speaks to close to the heart of who they were, what they had supported, and once thought was the right and faithful way to serve God.
Not being able to conquer their guilt, they project and rant against the system, and never deal with their own behavior as another (former) brick in the wall of that system.

Re: The UPC is a dying movement!
If the UPCI ever fails it’s going to fail from within. I was down in Texas for Thanksgiving and I was among the “Bible Belt UPC”, I’m sorry but I was ashamed at what I saw. The UPC left the spirit of God Years ago and they clung to this charismatic feel good spirit. When you have higher ups on the pyramid tweeting (whatever it’s called) that a big church from Colorado has accepted to be UPCI (I’ll borrow words from an elder that has passed) the handwriting is on the walls. Your trying to take from one pyramid to another??? The Lord spoke to me and said the church’s where I was at, treated the church as a business! That’s sad, the Bible says “I’m about my fathers business” Jesus wasn’t wealthy, he gave his life for us, Paul wasn’t wealthy he gave his life for this gospel, shame on you to make this church your business! I preached at a church in another state and this Pastor didn’t know me and I didn’t know him, yet I visited there and he ask me to preach, so I did. The message was about deliverance the church was so oppressed from a spirit of intimidation, and some other things the alter call had a lot of activity, the Pastor himself came out to me and started telling me the issues he’s facing he was being eaten up spiritually. Yet, this same Pastor just got back from General Conference a week prior and was telling the church we need to fill it up because that’s what the “higher ups” say. I mean this in general you don’t bring people to a leper colony otherwise it’ll produce more leper’s. There’s more i can say, I think that’s enough.

Re: The UPC is a dying movement!
Sounds really bleak, but yes, or no? Do people STILL get the Holy Ghost and filled with the Holy Ghost speaking in other TONGUES at UPC churches?

Re: The UPC is a dying movement!
We had 7 people baptized in Jesus name yesterday. It’s actually a common occurrence at our church.

Ill answer your question with a question. If souls are receiving (I’m not say there not) the Holy Ghost in UPC churches, does that make the organization right?
Am I against UPC preachers, not at all. I’m against what the organizational mindset does to man.

Re: The UPC is a dying movement!
The only churches that I know of in driving distance of me are UPC. If it was not for the UPC there would not be a church in my city.
It would be unlikely that my family would be saved.
Nicodemus, have you ever belonged to a church that was/is part of an organization?
