The instance I am thinking about, I was simply stating my own beliefs, about TV and why I personally believe them, in response to a question on the subject.
I was challenged to "prove my point" and "Why are you so inconsistent?" and "Why cant you just let others make their own choices" and "why do all you conservatives push your beliefs on others" etc.

I wasn't preaching to anyone, or telling anyone they were "wrong" or they should change. I was simply stating why I feel the way I do about TV.
What a crime!
But I sure had several folks chomping at the bit to do the very things they were accusing me of doing.
but of course!

I have seen A LOT of libs bashing the more conservative types
, and complaining about how "UC's" are so preachy and "in your face". But I can't remember more than one time Ive seen the "UC's" doing that.
I'm not saying it doesnt happen, not at all, I'm just saying what I have seen in the few weeks I have been here.

Its like people do not want anyone to tell them they should be stricter on THEIR standards/beliefs, but some of them sure are quick to tell everyone else how they are wrong and should let up on THEIR beliefs/standards.
Amen! .

Whats up with that? it does little good to even wonder why, probably even GOD wonders whats up., but know that He will get to the bottom of this
Hey meBNme, its like you read my mind, lol I agree with lots of what you said as a fellow "con" [ I hate such labels] I can relate.
Lemme know if you figure it out., though.

The environment here has been less than conservative-friendly at times of late.

I blame the cons for that! that is their fault.

they back off and wont defend their convictions. instead they run like a little scared pup with tails between their legs and hide out for months at a time and then whine about the libs taking over ????

they have no one to blame but themselves on this one

Most who contact us generally just convey they don't feel like they should have to constantly defend themselves for being Apostolic on an Apostolic forum.

I guess we'll disagree on this.

Maybe...but for every liberal that attacks a con on their "Apostolicness" there is a con that says that liberal just is not Apostolic because they disagree on some issue like TV or standards. It's sad both ways or any way you look at it.

One thing that can help though is when discussing issues both sides refrain from the mockery or flippant type of argument
