I haven't read the whole thread. In fact, I've only read the title and first few posts. My whole perspective on this is that if ANYBODY didn't think this resolution wouldn't have an effect on some staying and others leaving they have to be among the 'Toes Go In First' crowd.
I'm not saying that God can't speak to someone about this whole scenario but it surely doesn't take a great revelation to have seen this one coming. This one was as obvious as a gorilla sitting in your lap.
agreed and lets not even get into the fact that there are some pretty well respected men of God on both sides of the issue here.
I just have to wonder if God was telling each side something completly different?

because most of the time, this whole "prophet" thing gets over done with a whole bunch of angst and not near enough God.
i know a few guys that i have full faith and confidence in whom I would call "Prophet". then there is this whole big giant crowd that call themselves prophet whom I would not give you a thin wooden nickle for.
God has not given us a spirit of fear.

I agree. Neither is God double minded.
However, I think He could say you could do something He might would tell ME no to, because He knows what I can handle and can't.

BTW...where did you find such a cute hat for Little Ferd?

Well, you make a bold, judgmental statement like that, claiming anyone who doesnt agree with the TV resolution has no vision, and expect no one to counter the statement?
I'm kind of disappointed that all you would do is tell me to "chill"
We all say things a little different from how we mean them from time to time, make mistakes etc. I called you on your comment thinking you would clarify..... or confirm that's what you meant.
But quite honestly, your lack of comment, defense, or clarification just seems to confirm my initial impression was correct.
Like it or not, administration are held to higher standards than the average forum member, as well as being respected for what they do.
With that added respect, comes responsibility. I'm still holding out hope that you aren't really that judgemental and closed minded.
You could have taken this to a pm, but honestly reading your first post directed at me, all I could read through your comments was a bad and hostile attitude.
Your initial impression is biased by your own judgementalism and prejudice.
I have been around forum life to see where any acknowledgement given to you would only lead to some kind of unending verbal wrestling match-no thanks.
If you have a complaint towards me and my voluntary, position here as an admin that you do it the correctly.
Besides I was not posting as "admin" but was posting as another poster.
I did not say that those who were not for the advertisement of Television resolution lacked vision. If you took it that way, that is up to you.
But those that are for the Television resolution see at a way to reach the world.
I do not care to argue as to whether or not it right wrong, we have other thread for that.
Next time, I ask respectfully to you are going to address me like this, do it in a pm.
Thad, a prophetess among us recently told a group of people how the Lord showed her that the first reaping will be the tares among us and they will be gathered together...sound at all familiar?
carey, nothing is ringing a bell...can you give more details or PM me ??
it is my personal belief, (based on little more than my own experience) that visions of this nature are more the result of eating too much spicy food too late in the evening than anything else.
it was a matter of vision or television, People who want tv have a vision of growth in their churches while the others-the issue is the tv
and it is true the TV did take the united out of The United Pentecostal Church.
I find it hard to interpret this any what other than how 'meBNme' did...

All of the above?
What about before the resolution, was everyone lacking vision then?
How about the churches who are currently in building programs, and determined to double drives, and more daughter works ongoing than you can count on two hands, and Bible study pushes, and outreach programs, and parking lot extensions....... but have convictions against TV.
So if they are doing ALL that, but don't believe in TV, they have no vision?

No one said if you don't agree with the TV resolution you lack vision. BUT the ones who agreed with the TV resolution has a DIFFERENT vision than you do.
No reason why both can't keep their visions is there?
Uh... read the post at the top of this reply.

I'm not sure that this is a reasonable or sufficient answer to meBNme's concerns and questions. A post posted publicly, especially by someone who functions as an admin, whether voluntary or not, whether as an admin or as 'just another poster', should be backed up or rebutted in the same manner as it was posted. I think meBNme at least deserves clarification of the statement and an acknowledgement of his concerns. JMHO... but that's what forums are for, huh...
You are so right I just should have said nothing, I am sorry if I was rude by saying take a chill pill but, it's in response to some of these words.

This is where I stopped and lost interest in any serious dialog or coming to a mutual understanding.

Another remark that is close to resembling a personal attack

I feel this is another overreaction and not what I meant. I did not mean that people who were against tv had no vision period, I dont think there is much to add on this.

Sorry you feel that way, my remarks do not reflect that of the ownership of this forum, I made those of my own free choice and opinion.
I just request that if some one would like to call me mighty judgemental stereotyping? condescending?
All of the above? They take to a pm.
Considering the above remarks, and of all the responses that I could have given "take a chill pill" is rather mild.
