And if the vote in Salt Lake was felt to be the will of God for the rest of time then the resolution committee didn't have not let it come to the floor the last two GC's.
They bussed them in for the purpose of voting. Never before have you seen BUSSES lined up in front of the arena...and preacher after preacher after preacher after preacher coming off the bus (all from the same geographical location of a nearby state).

The Rules, for your information, contain the clause, "not contending....to the disunity of the body". A rule that was clearly not followed, when this was brought up to the res. committee four years in a row.

So you want somebody to leave, as long as it's not you..... ok

Was that important clause you cite the motivation behind the anti-TV folks in 1977? The issue was as controversial then as at any other time.

It just seems that the "Tulsa group" wants to pick and choose arbitrary points from the timeline and say, "Here, this was the will of God because we say it is."

I really can't imagine anyone believing the chair was speaking Ex Cathedra in SLC. There have been too many times that I've seen "the chair" mocked and ridiculed over the last 30+ years by the same ones who insisted it was “settled in SLC.”

The reason there is any support whatsoever behind this move is because so many preachers were brought and discipled to loath their "compromising" brethren. It's the spirit and culture of the "Tulsa movement" that has been divisive since 1945.

Amen, CS!!

The question posed by SW suggests that Bishop NJW has an agenda other that which he is promoting.

Unfair and untrue, unless there are cold, hard facts to support it...I have not seen any presented.

Having known the elder for nigh onto 35 years, I can say without hesitation that Bishop W is a man of integrity.

He is a man like any other and capable of making wrong choices and bad decisions, so I will not elevate above what is due.

I can only speak of what I know and I know him to be honest in his love of souls and Kingdom work.
