What a bunch of hogwash. No one is telling me what to do. I am glad that when I came into a new area and didn't know the churches that there was someone to fill me in.

These good people don't tell me what to do and neither do you. I will do as I wish. I might stay and I might go, but either ways it's none of your business.

Wow...I'm not impressed at all by this youth leaders arrogance and blatant attitude of "we will control the preacher" and "we will establish from the get go that if you try to change us there will be consequences for you"....

The only way to explain this is to admit the hard nosed saints control the pulpit in your church...no wonder they are trying to force your hand to make a decision....I have a feeling they are talking behind your back concerning whether ir not they will support you if you don't go their way...

I have seen so many lies posted. The best one is the one Triumphant 1 did his best to combat. You know, the hair cutting party thing?

Prominent members of this board chose to believe the lie and even continue to spread it, even though T1 had totally proved it was false.

Typical stuff, you disagree, therefore your attitude stinks, from on both sides of the issue. This is good old fashioned UPC banter...for what it is worth.

Anyway, Hole hearted, I have seen folks do exactly what you are saying here, in fact, you could very well be the one I am talking about round these parts.

It is so comforting how that folks believe, conservative and ultraconservative people no-less, that it is better to boycott, than to change the situation/institution/movement from the inside out.

Kinda reminds me of a certain flightless bird with a pea-sized brain that believes that because his head is surrounded by sand and it is dark and cold, the problem or threat does not exist up on the surface.

Hey, CC1, Nice Boots ya got there...!!!!

LOL.

Who'da thunk it?

These ultracons are always harping about these "board-run" churches and that they run their churches like some kind of almighty king.

And come to find out Wholehearted/OldTime Preacher is told who he can fellowship and who he can't by his "trustee board" and youth leader.

Talk about cards ... he'll probably lose his card in the ultracon club.

Sounds like he's a puppet on a string.

Wholehearted,

Just a question for clarification. You said you didn't know the churches in your area. So, did you know your youth pastor or trustees before you went there?

What do you mean, "No one is telling me what to do." You are the one that said, "My youth leader came and told me we don't do this and we don't go there...blah, blah, blah....."

Is he still your YL? Does he still dictate to you who you can fellowship with and what events your church can go to?

I imagine Whole Hearted is a lot smarter than to allow his Sunday sermon to be dictated by some people on a message board.

Give me a break.
