First, it was Matt 8. My bad for typing it wrong.
My honest opinion is that we struggle with believing that healing from sickness and disease is available for every individual because we do not see everyone being healed. Even those that we pray for many times die from sickness and disease despite our desperate and passionate prayers. So I believe many judge, and their understanding of Gods Word becomes skewed, by their experience. Thus they adopt a doctrine that is more in line with their experience, than in line with the Word of God.
