well, not being one to cause trouble, I hesitate to say this, but I think there's a pretty easy answer to that question.
Just don't disagree with me. 
The Mrs is the meanest of all the staffers anyhow.... you'd wanna worry more about her than me.... hehehe

You know what? This is understood! 
However, this understanding needs to be mutual and respect should be mutual, not one sided.
Squelching a certain amount of discussion does NOT help. You have multiple admins for multiple viewpoints and opinions. Likewise, multiple viewpoints and opinions should be openly allowed for members. This helps to bring balance when balance may be lacking.
Squelching may be necessary if things really get out of hand but to not allow open discussion at all is simply making matters worse.
