You obviously do not consider him an elder because of his age, so would "Elder" Prince meet the biblical, New Testament qualifications for his lofty title?
1. Is he a ruler of a council?
2. Is he a secular ruler of any sort?
3. Does he preside over an assembly?
4. Does he sit around the throne of God?
Elder Prince? How old is the man, and why do we throw the word "elder" around so casually?
1Ti 4:12-14
"Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery."
The first century church was formulated within 40 years and those who were called "elders" were not always gray haired old men. Where in the Old Testament the elders would be the patriarchs out of every tribe. The New Testament elders would be elders spiritually. The young evangelist Timothy was told to let no man despise his youth. Older men (especially those who were priorly in Judaism) would have had a hard time with a younger teacher teaching them. Titus is also told that he was not to let anyone despise him, I would say that was said also because of Titus' age. Jesus' ministry and that of His apostles was during the time when Jesus is 30 years old. Hardly an age where a Jewish man would be called an elder.
Elders in the early church were not always old men.
Elder is a term of respect that I have for Elder Prince; I am far from cavalier in my use of that title. There are some individuals that I wouldn't call them elder for all the Boudin in Abbeville Louisiana. Respect should be given to those who are ministers and have proven that they are good Brothers who are hard at work digging out a work or involved working with a church family.
These men are elders, if they are not elders to you that's fine, I tell Brothers and Sisters don't Bro me if you don't know me, in others words, if you don't see me as an elder, evangelist, minister, brother, or man of God, then to you I'm not. I'm only a brother and elder to those I have earned the title with.
There are those who call Brother ministers on here elders because we know they are ministers, and have been doing that since FCF. If the game plan has changed here, then I don't know about it. I will keep using the terms Brother, Sister, Elder, and Pastor when refering to individuals on here. That's just me. If you feel that's unbiblical for you then don't do it.
I find ELDER Prince to be just that.
If he hasn't impacted you in that way then get to know the man you will find out that he is an elder of the Apostolic Faith.

Elder Prince would never snap at anyone or get into an argument on the forum. I don't think he ever became sarcastic with anyone. I think he should just keep posting until he really loses it and then get an official ban.
Now you are talking! He needs to adopt "Go out in a blaze of glory" as his theme song.
Perhaps pull up some of the old unreformed WWOD implosions from the FCF days for inspiration.

I am sure Elder Prince is a fine man. No one denies it. I just found the use of the word "Elder" odd. But then we have the title "Evangelist" which you have obviously chosen to identify yourself as.
I am beginning to feel as though I am at a PAW convention. The PAW seems to relish in seeing how many titles can be attached to a minister's name.
Ahh, the old false idea of clergy and laity. You could be onto something.
How about the SET MAN? Woohoo!

jm, can't speak for anyone but me, but when I use the word elder I assure you it is not done casually.
If you are an regular poster with a new moniker, you will remember that I have spoke many times that I was almost 24 years in the Church Of Our Lord Jesus Christ, of the Apostolic Faith. In this org, preachers who have been ordained are referred to as 'elder'.
