As Sister Alvear ... has said we've made church attendance and our "appearances of piety" on church days the focus ... We are the temple of the LIVING GOD EVERY DAY.
The quote from Leviticus is not "extra-biblical". The whole point of the Law was to separate a holy nation from all other nations. Since "holiness" is still a NT issue, I think understanding the principles taught in the law are still relevant. Where in the NT does it teach about incest. Only in the Law, junior.

DM...the bed is undefiled...
I am sure by the Bible that a couple (both) agreed can stay apart for a time of fasting and prayer if they feel to...
Over here in Brazil we always have self called prophetess running from house to house telling sisters to be pure before God they should not have sex with their husbands. By not having sex they will become REAL spiritual...When the sisters come to me I tell them by not having sex with their husbands they will loose their husbands...
I get pretty plain in our ladies meetings...
Women are to honor their husbands and met their physcial needs...and vice versa. “Love” between husband and wife. God designed sexual intercourse... He have chosen a number of other ways for us to “be fruitful and multiply” God chose His perfect excellence to design a man and woman's bodies to fit and mold together.
If we choose to marry we become “one flesh” Genesis 2:24.

I hope I am not to plain for a public board but I have seen the devil in the name of being more spiritual destroy many marriages...

The world has corrupted our perception of sex, but let us remember that God ordained marriage and the sex within it.
The old testament laws so not apply to believers today if they did we would be confessing to the priest...
We live under grace...and grace alone.

Which is one reason why people make and also believe the NT makes a distintion between ceremonial laws and moral laws. What kind of food you eat is not a moral law. What kind of material your clothes is made from is not a moral law...having unclean sheets is not a moral law.

BTW I agree with you that quoting from Leviticus is not extra-biblical.

DM your quote from Lev may not be "extra-biblical" but it is not for us today.
