I would have to read what is signed. It was my understanding the AS was done away with and ministers no longer have to sign it. I will ask my father, who's been a licensed UPC minister for 60 years this year.

Now, simply being a licensed minister of an organization with an AOF doesn't mean you have to agree with every line item detail. One can be a licensed minister and disagree with the UPC AOF regarding worldly amusements or sports.

That does not make such a minister dishonest nor a liar.

First off, I asked original question to see if could be looking at it wrong, us humans can be guilty of that. You made a list of things not scripture, I responded with but lying is. But if the AF still exist would it be dishonest if l don t agree or not going to follow, but sign amyways?

It does mention they believe and will teach the articles of faith. They sign affirming they will the follow holiness standards

Here it is: you must follow the articles of faith. No where does it give a multiple choice option.
