So why attempt to PUSH a morality, under the Authority of Jesus Christ, when not only will any resulting morality is vain (without Christ), but the methods that Christ, the early Apostles, and the early Church used do not line up with the modern day toxic mixing of religion and politics?
Do you remember what happened when the government and the church united? Easter. All Saints Day. Indulgences. The Trinity.

JD, government and religion is always together. Aldous Huxley in Brave New World uses that to prove his points. Ever since the first warrior beat the snot out of the other tallest, strongest, largest, most vicious animal, or man. He was looked upon as the hero of the people, after he passes away, he is believed to be bigger than life. Stories, become legend, legend becomes myth. The king is not only believed to be appointed a god, but a god's mouthpiece, and physical avenger of a god's justice. We also have that in the Bible. It was never something new, it is actually as old as time itself.
